Well we decided to change our holiday from the 5 star All inclusive in Egypt, for obvious reasons,to the self catering we very much enjoyed when our children were young and this complex didn't let us down.
The bungalows offer everything you need as a base for a good self catering holiday.
They are arranged into blocks of four with each bungalow having a patio with table and chairs and two sun beds, internally there is a good sized bathroom and bedroom and a kitchen/lounge.Kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster, electric two ring hob unit and the usual cutlery, glasses, cups etc.
There is plenty of clothes hanging space in the bedroom and there is safety deposit you can hire for €13 a week with a €10 deposit,it's a big safe as well.
Booking into the complex was quick and easy and they were very helpful.
The complex itself was clean and tidy with a good sized pool and plenty of free sun beds even though there were plenty of Germans there, but seriously any time we used the pool there were loads of space.
There is a bar by the pool which provides drinks and snacks and is open till approx 7pm.
The bungalow is cleaned 5 times in a week and to a good standard and friendly staff.
There are a number of cats that roam around the complex from time to time, they don't bother you and although I think they may be wild they still look in good condition!!
There is good wi-fi throughout the complex and you are given the 'wireless key' when you book in.
There is a Resturant in the complex's sister bungalow complex across the road called the Green Golf and it also has a small supermarket.
There are two further Resturants within 5 to 10 minutes walk, one a Chinese and the other a Grill House Resturant which does a bit of everything,we ate in both and they were great especially the Chinese(Bamboo Resturant).
I read reviews before I went on holiday and some said it was a 20 minute walk to the maspolomas beach and Resturants but it is more like 30 minutes and my wife and I are quite brisk walkers.
The walk itself is lovely, about 10% of it is along side a road that is not busy and the rest is along a pedestrian walkway by the side of a dried up river bed which leads down to the beach, sand dunes and nature reserve.
If you would prefer not to walk then there are always taxi's driving past the complex and you just put your hand up and ask for maspolomas beach and it takes about 5 minutes and costs around €4,we used them a few times and they are great.
There are all sorts of different Resturants that cater for every taste and to the left of the beach lighthouse you will find the older local Resturants and to the right of the lighthouse you will find the new more modern Resturants and the prices don't vary to much.
I would say that the average price for two main meals and drinks was between 25 to 30 Euros,if you want starters or deserts then it's a bit more and we always left a tip as well.
There are plenty of shops around especially for designer labels so try and keep the credit card hidden gents!!!!!!!
If you feel like an excursion then a half day trip to Pueto Mogan was great,it's a lovely place,so picturesgue, and we liked it so much we are thinking of going there in October.
We booked through Thomson and flew from Bournemouth.
Fights were great, had booked extra space seats as I am tall,we were late taking off due to storm Katie but still arrived st the complex in good time to have a good look around.
Las Palmas airport is very nice as airports go,modern and never felt overcrowded unlike Sharm el Sheik airport which is the pits!!
For anyone reading this and going to this complex I think you will enjoy yourselves and would recommend it.
My wife and I are in our early 60's and we do like the climate there which on average varies from 16c to 26c year round which is great.
If you are think of buying duty free then it's slightly cheaper in the supermarkets than the airport duty free, you still need to shop around in the supermarkets though!!
Think that's all,enjoy.
