Cordial Mogán Playa Hotel and the Food Bank of Las Palmas sign an agreement to help those in vulnerable situations
Within its Social Responsibility policy, the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa has signed a collaboration agreement with the Food Bank of Las Palmas that will allow them to donate food in perfect condition and ready for consumption. This initiative, increasingly widespread in the world, allows a close collaboration between the tourism industry and the NGOs that distribute food.
The food, which is cooked purposely for the donation, is handled by hospitality professionals and is immediately frozen and donated. The hotel guarantees that the food will be maintained at the correct cold temperature and the production and handling standards of the products that are donated, are the same as those used for the consumption of our guests and workers. The Food Bank receives these prepared foods packaged, labeled, and with their expiration date, which allows it to expand its service to users in situations of vulnerability with high quality products.
