The Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa reopens its doors after a spectacular renovation of its common areas
The flagship of the Gran Canarian hotel chain beCordial Hotels & Resorts, the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa, located in Playa de Mogán, reopened its doors on July 17th with a renovated appearance.
These improvements, made during the forced closure, affect several main areas of the hotel. "The Hotel celebrated its 15th anniversary last December. For some time we wanted to make several reforms but we did not know how to do it without affecting the welfare of our guests. The forced tourism shut down due to the pandemic gave us the opportunity to carry out these pending renovation projects in the main communal areas of our hotel such as the reception, the two swimming pools of the resort and our main buffet, the Tamarona" explained the general manager, Nicolás Villalobos.
A novelty that is already visible on arrival
The change of the lights and painting of the central building makes the reception of the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa look more majestic than ever. With two wonderful (and improved) pools to relax
More renovation work has taken place in the outside area by the two impressive swimming pools. The tiles were renewed and the artificial sand was removed and replaced by ceramic flooring and artificial grass. "Many guests complained over the years because the sand (which was very coarse-grained so as not to clog the filters) bothered them while walking. We had been trying to meet this constant demand for some time, but we could not find the opportunity to intervene in such a critical space in our guests' holiday experience as the pool area. This crisis gave us the longed-for opportunity to act," added Nicolás Villalobos.
Another of the main attractions of the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa is the night lighting of both pools, creating a sophisticated and magical atmosphere. Over the years, Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa has become a gastronomic reference in the region, recently crowned by the Michelin star for its signature restaurant, Los Guayres. One of the most striking visual changes that guests will appreciate after the reopening is the renovation of the main restaurant Tamarona, which is characterised by a fresh, bright and modern style. The renovated Tamarona buffet, which has been adapted to current health guidelines and recommendations, guarantees top gastronomic quality even for the most demanding guests
