The location couldn't have been better, and the hotel itself was truly lavish. I was particularly impressed by the excellent attention to detail throughout our stay. A standout feature was the choice of pools: we could opt for the tranquil quiet pool or head to the more energetic family area.

A well located hotel in the resort of Puerto de Mogan. The hotel has an upmarket feel & ambience, combined with excellent service. The main reception, dinning area & foyer bar are the hub of the hotel, adjacent is the outdoor pool area and the room apartments. It is worth noting that pool facing rooms have sun on there balconies most of the day, others not. Lots of family friendly activities & events, whereas adults only parties can find some retreats available. [...]Hotel is recommended & we would visit again.

This place was a gem! The pool areas were lovely and quiet. They were busy but you could always get chairs. The archeological site on property was so nice and the breakfast buffet was expansive. The tea time in the library each afternoon was a nice touch and the room was wonderful. The town itself was amazing and we would love to come back!

Señalo especialmente la atención la atención de Ana, es de estas personas com vacación de servicio, que ponen a tu disposición toda la información que puedas necesitar y siempre con una sonrisa. Gracias. Comedor. Comida excelentes. Productos de buena calidad y bien ejecutados. No soy vegana, pero me parece genial que hayan platos exclusivos para veranos. Destacó que se reserven mesas a personas con discapacidad, tengo una deficiencia visual grave y ello me ayudó a moverme sin tanta dificultad del buffet a mi mesa. Agradezco especialmente la profesionalidad de Serena y Valeria, que me guiaron por el comedor y estuvieron al pendiente en todo momento. Fueron muy amables. El hotel es un sueño. jardines con especies atóctonas, espacios en donde se les da especial cuidado a los animales: pájaros, gatos... A mí en concreto me encanta la capilla. ¡Me da tanta paz! Las habitaciones son de 10. Julia la camarera de mi planta fue muy amable, la limpieza correctísima y estuvo al pendiente de proveerme de cualquier elemento que fuese necesitado. El hotel cuanta con dos piscinas. Y luego el lugar en el que está ubicado, tiene acceso a la playa y al Puertito de Mogán. Lo dicho es ideal. Ah se me olvidaba... Soy usuario del Spa Inagua, me encantan las instalaciones. Además a súper buen precio. Ésta vez decidí hacerme un tratamiento facial y he quedado muy satisfecha. Trato amable y profesional. Tus vacaciones en Cordial Mogán Playa. Yo repetiré !!! :D.

Fabulous hotel set in lush tropical gardens. Many rooms spread over several buildings, it never feels busy. Plenty of tables for meals. Food was good quality, but there is no atmosphere when dining. Some music and smiles and conversation with the staff would be nice. The hotel is very close to the harbour and beach so an easy walk away. Bus station opposite and it's easy to get to Maspalomas for the day. A very classy area with walks up the mountains. Our room was a bit dark and we wished we had one which was in the sun, but it would be good for the height of summer! We also had trouble with locking our door securely which was a bit worrying. But they did do their best to try to resolve it. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope we go again next year.

The hotel has a beatiful tropical garden and is located next to a nice hiking trail (archeological park), Pools are heated and are safe for the kids. Breakfast is excellent, with great selection of foods. Ocean beach is really close. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

The Cordial is an amazing hotel and very relaxing. The reception staff were super friendly yet professional and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a vast variety. The sun loungers/cushions were the most comfortable I've ever experienced. The pool towels were very big, which was great. It was so relaxing with no loud music blaring, just nature and tranquility. Rooms were so comfortable and clean. There was a great selection of activities during the day - yoga/pilates/ fitness and Spanish classes (brilliant idea). There was a good variety of night entertainment which was excellent, particularly Whitney Heuston cover.

Another great holiday at Cordial Mogan Playa

We have recently returned from our 3rd stay at this lovely hotel. It is ideally situated in the fabulous little town of Mogan, a gentle stroll into town with a great selection of restaurants. The hotel is immaculately kept, the gardens are lovely, the rooms beautifully clean, breakfast great and the staff are wonderful. The spa is exceptional. I can't pick out one individual, and we didn't eat in the hotel in the evening, but the whole breakfast team were just fantastic. We'll be back!

We can't resist an annual trip to Cordial Playa in Mogan. Hotel so friendly, great food, lovely gardens, and a gentle walk from the town described as Little Venice. Lots of in-hotel facilities, pools, spa, evening entertainment, though not used by us. We relish the calm setting.

Lovely hotel, beautiful gardens, five minutes from the harbour and restaurants but, extremely importantly, all the staff - and I mean all - are the friendliest you’ll find anywhere. Un hôtel immense, très bien aménagé, avec plein de services disponibles. Honnêtement, nous préférons habituellement les structures plus petites mais nous nous y sommes sentis bien. Végétation luxuriante, intérieure et extérieure, espaces vastes. Belles piscines. Le repas est bien organisé ce qui évite les files d’attente. Pour un établissement de cette taille, la nourriture était bien, et chacun trouvera ce qu’il recherche. Proximité du port, balade sympa en fin de journée avec coucher de soleil du mirador!

Hotel was absolutely top quality. Apartment was great, gardens lovely, food good, breakfast outstanding. Evening entertainment a bit of bar music or a full show, as you prefer. And most importantly, the staff were, without exception, great. It is the people who make a place, and they make cordial wonderful. And we enjoyed English sausages and a bit of British tv each day. I am a regular guest and love this hotel. The breakfasts are amazing, the pools are very warm and clean, the staff are excellent and very patient with young children and the gardens are full of amazing exotic plants. The evening entertainment is lots of fun and full of variety. We came with a grandchild this time and his needs were very well catered for and we discovered the bowling alley and the trampolines for the first time.

What a wonderful place to stay

What a fantastic hotel. As soon as you walk through the sliding door entrance to the hotel you feel the calm and relaxing atmosphere around you. The young lady on reception was very professional, polite and helpful and while we were completing the booking in formalities offered us a drink, champagne, orange juice or water. Once registered it was a short walk to our accommodation through the wonderfully landscaped walkway. Our room, a standard room, was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the walkway into town and the mountains beyond. The restaurant and the food were amazing. We were on half board, breakfast and evening meal, and spoilt for choice at every mealtime. Amazing choices. There are two sittings for the evening meal and once you have chosen the sitting you prefer you are allocated a table and that is yours for each mealtime. Two solar heated pools with one, perhaps, more orientated for families with children but both well maintained and cleaned every day. Throughout the whole of the complex are wonderful well-maintained gardens with some outstanding plants. Part of the hotel complex is an archaeological site which can be accessed throughout the day. Conducted tours are also available for the site and the gardens. A small but well-appointed gym was just a short walk from our room and used most days. Just upstairs from reception was a library with several books, in different languages, available to read, if required. Other areas, which we did not use, were a toddlers play room and a room containing air hockey, pool table and various media ‘play’ options, not forgetting the spa. It goes without saying that we had a wonderful stay and have already booked for next year. Every member of staff that we encountered was smiling and cheery and always said hello. On one of the days we were there we saw members of what we assumed were Cordial managers inspecting the site, with their clipboards, and I have no doubt that they found very little to complain about. We certainly didn’t. A big thank you must be given to all the staff at Cordial Mogan Playa, from the housekeepers, chefs, waiting staff, porters, receptionists and pool staff. Thank you to one and all. See you next year.

Lovely hotel

This is such a lovely hotel - one of our favourites. It is so beautifully set out in garden surroundings with 2 swimming pools, tennis courts and so many other facilities including a very relaxing spa. The breakfast buffet is great and the food very good. There is also a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel as well as a very interesting archaeological site. The location of the hotel is excellent as from it you can easily stroll down into Puerto de Mogan with its beach, shops and restaurants. Best of all though are the people who work there - all so helpful, friendly and polite.

I'd recommend this hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast, which is our preference as we like the variety of eating out and there are several options nearby, both in the pretty town and the shopping centre opposite. It's around 10 minutes walk into town. The hotel is well equipped with 2 pools, bars, games room and a library. The staff are excellent. Rooms are pleasant enough and in the local style. A safe is available for a small charge per day. The choice of breakfast foods is very wide and of good quality with a chef who will cook an omelette or fried eggs to order. There's also a quirky robot! It's popular mainly with British and Scandinavian people. I'd definitely stay here again.

The pool was wonderful. The surroundings were excellent, especially the gardens, and inside the hall and around the rooms. We enjoyed the music entertainment in the evening. The buffet breakfast and dinners were exceptional with so much to choose from. The staff were all well trained and courteous. Always happy to help. Reception staff were very efficient too. The bedroom was large and well equipped. Good to have a fridge. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Just spent twelve nights at this hotel for our honeymoon. Overall the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. Towels and bedding were changed on request, the pool towels could be changed daily at the side of the pool. The reception area was impressive and included a welcome drink upon arrival. The hotel grounds were beautiful and were well maintained. The poolside bar was attractive and the staff were very helpful and efficient, although we didn't eat at the poolside bar the food they were serving looked very good. There were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool and warnings were given to people who reserved sunbeds to early. Breakfast was buffet style and was plentiful with a vast choice. The evening meal was a choice of two sittings and you kept the same table throughout your stay, drinks service to your table particularly in the evening was sometimes slow. Evening meal was also buffet style with plenty of choice, however food quality sometimes let it down. We will probably stay again in the future but would opt for the bed and breakfast as there are plenty of nice restaurants down by the sea front and around the harbour area, which is only a ten minute walk away.

Venons de rentrer d’une semaine à l’hôtel Cordial Mogan Playa . Un seul mot : magnifique . Le personnel est d’une extrême gentillesse et très prévenant . Une mention supplémentaire pour Mia à l’accueil qui parle français . Avons eu des soucis de santé sur place et Mia nous demandait tous les jours des nouvelles . Une 2eme mention spéciale pour Serena a l’accueil du buffet le soir . Toujours souriante et arrangeante . Les buffets petit déjeuner et dîner sont incroyables et variés . Aurions juste aimé savoir que les sachets de café et thé que nous avons trouvé dans notre chambre à l’arrivée étaient pour tout le séjour. Nous les avons consommé en 2 jours et ils n’ont pas été renouvelé. Nous reviendrons

Delightful Hotel

Sadly we are leaving this lovely hotel today after a weeks stay. The hotel and it's gardens are stunning. Cannot understand people who say it is dated - the hotel is only 22 years old and is not designed to be clinically modern, but traditional Canarian. The pools are delightful and heated just enough. The food is not quite 5* , there is always something you will like and there are touches of 5*, such as sushi, smoked salmon, fresh jumbo prawns and fresh fruit smoothies. The staff are very helpful and we will definitely visit again. So many guests we met were on their 10th visit and more!

"This hotel has it all, and is quite simply the best winter break I have ever taken. The weather was unbroken sunshine and a pleasant 23 or 24 degrees all week. The staff are exceptional, friendly, helpful nothing too much when asked yo help. The fridge in our room was not working properly, reported to reception and a new one was installed before we got back yo our room an hour later. Food was delicious and varied, and a few visits to Mogan (750 metres away) is a must, what a beautiful little village.The hotel grounds are clean, well laid out, two great pool areas (one quiet, one for families) which works really well. The mature gardens are awesome for a stroll after a few glasses in the evening. Went to Egypt for the past two winters, and that was simply awful experience compared to Playa de Mogan. Have a visit, you will not be disappointed!

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Hotel im Zentrum von Puerto de Mogan. Fußläufig ist man sehr schnell (ca. 400m) an der Strandpromenade/Hafen. Das Hotel besticht durch eine beeindruckende Gartenanlage und auch innen Bepflanzung, mehre Pools (separater für Ruhesuchende), toller SPA und auch sehr schöne Poolbars. Buffet Restaurant überzeugte durch gute Qualität und Abwechslung. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Service über alle Bereiche (von der Rezeption, Zimmer, Bars und Restaurant). Ein weiteres Highlight das Michelin Restaurant "Los Guayres" innerhalb der Anlage.

The hotel, the staff, the resort were absolutely brilliant. The hotel is huge but you never feel swamped by people. The grounds are beautiful and exotic and the quiet pool area is stunning. Huge shout out to Gabriel our life guard who was forever helping people out with their sun beds, parasols or just chatting to the guests. He is a huge asset to the hotel and thank you from 3 middle aged ladies for making us feel special. The only thing that let the pool area down was the pool bar. The staff were not friendly and the drinks were slow and not good quality. Unlike the inside bar which was phenomenal. The restaurant has a huge variety of food including vegetarian. There was almost too much to choose from. The staff were lovely and very happy to help. The room was lovely and clean and the beds were so comfy. They have black out curtains which meant we slept late! There is a kettle and coffee maker and a hairdryer in every room. The balcony overlooked the pool and was so pretty at sunset. We sat drinking wine before dinner every evening and really looked forward to it. We ate in the hotel 3 nights but the other 4 nights we walked down to the gorgeous port and ate in the restaurants there of which there were lots to choose from. It’s not cheap but probably the same as a nice restaurant in the UK. It felt completely safe and the vibe was really nice. They had a singer in the square 2 nights and the weather was still warm enough to sit out until around 10pm. The market on a Friday is huge and really good fun. Lots of bartering to be done! Don’t worry if you haven’t packed enough clothes. There is a huge array of really nice well priced dresses, tops, trousers etc. The hotel seems to cater for the more mature holiday maker but that meant it was nice and quiet after about 11pm. No slamming of doors or screaming kids in the corridor! I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and resort as a fabulous place to visit for some winter sun.

Another fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. The most special aspect of this hotel is without question the staff. The reception team are very helpful and always deal with any issues in a friendly manner. The work of the cleaners is truly outstanding and they always greet us with a smile. I must highlight the role of Tene and Valeria who are fantastic. We had an issue with some rather tired looking yoga mats and after a quick chat with Tene in dinner this was sorted the next day. This was an example of outstanding customer service. We have already booked for 2027!

In diesem Hotel gibt es aber auch gar nichts zu meckern. Wunderbare gepflegte Anlage kein Beton-Bunker, alles ein bisschen versteckt und kuschelig. Zimmer sind groß, gepflegt und ruhig, mitten im Grünen. Im Restaurant geht es sehr stilvoll zu mir gutem Service Personal. Das Essen ist sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Die Speisen sind auf einem hohen Niveau. Viele Möglichkeiten sich zu Beschäftigen und wenn man will ein ruhiger Pool. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, ja die Zimmer müssen mal aufgehübscht werden, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Arrived to a warm and friendly welcome and as quick as it was to check in our cases were on the way to our room we did upgrade to a suite and was given 9012 The room was clean tidy and spacious and sunny garden with table chairs and sun beds (some rooms in shade due to trees and plants ) The room was kept very tidy all week by hardworking staff We had breakfast in the blue building near the pool all eggs cooked to order all hot and made to your liking great choice of food Diner was served in the main restaurant you have two sittings I’ll call them early and late and to make it easier you keep the same table The food was not the biggest choice I’ve seen but it made up for in QUALITY All the service is fast and efficient yes it gets busy but they cope very well The swimming pools were kept spotless plenty of sun beds and good bar and food Always something happening at the pool from games to fitness classes The location of the hotel is excellent minutes from bus station seafront shops and the market Entertainment and bars were very good but the plants flowers palms gardens are a credit to the hardworking staff and the botanical tour was very interesting and Alex was very truthful to the problems about environmental issues of the island So thank you for a great stay at a very relaxing hotel in a great location

Wonderful place with a few flaws

It would be churlish not to give this splendid resort 5 stars, not least because we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Be warned, it is enormous with nearly 500 rooms and it is spread over a vast estate. That said, it does not feel overwhelming. The gardens and planting are simply stunning and there is a plethora of nooks and crannies to escape to including a captive church on site. Checking in was very efficient and we received a lovely welcome. Staff were charming throughout our stay without exception. We had a junior suite by the church overlooking a little courtyard. At first floor level, we sat shaded by the palm tree tops. That was bliss. It was very quiet and undisturbed. We heard nothing of our neighbours. Our rooms were comfortable and the bathroom very nice. The complex is within very easy reach of the harbour and the waterfront cafes. We had breakfast in a separate part of the hotel. It was usual continental buffet style, but very adequate. It was warm enough to sit outside under heaters. There were a few families staying but, in January, most of the clientele were of an older age. I cannot imagine the nightly disco was very well patronised. Most guests were tucked up by 10.00pm. The resort is quite pricey which ensures a certain style of guest. The two pools were well used and there was never a shortage of sunbeds. The lunchtime cafes were excellent. We have only two negative comments. Our rooms while perfectly adequate were a bit dated. The complex is 20 years old and designed in another era. Rather heavy old fashioned furniture, not really enough space and no sockets for the ubiquitous iPads and mobiles. And the evening dining was a disaster for us. Given the 1,000+ guests, dinner is organised in the vast dining halls into two sittings. This ensures an enormous scramble as the sittings commence followed by long queues at the buffet. Staff barely coped. The food, frankly, was a major disappointment. There appeared to be no order or management. Someone needs to get a grip. But all was not lost. We had not booked evening meals in advance. There are great restaurants on the doorstep and by the marina. Be adventurous and you will not go hungry. Fabulous hotel with lots of wonderful little areas to enjoy both in and around the hotel. It is located perfectly to access the beautiful town of Mogan, Gran Canaria and with a handy and affordable bus service and water taxis could easily take you to other locations along the coast. Breakfasts and evening meals were absolutely fantastic. A huge choice of very different foods to suit all tastes. Everything was cooked to such a high standard and was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and they made every effort to ensure you had a good experience and were helpful and polite at all times. The hotel was incredibly clean and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Outside spaces were brilliant with two large heated pools and plenty of sun beds. We had a brilliant holiday and would enjoy staying at the Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa again.

When you want something special

Here now celebrating my 70th birthday and have been a few times before including our 40th wedding anniversary. Just had a surprise gift from the hotel of a bottle of bubbly, a bottle of red wine, a birthday cake and a spa voucher which is such a lovely and special surprise. The hotel makes you feel so special from the moment you check in. It’s the only hotel out of many we have been to that we’ve returned to several times. The architecture and gardens make it a unique place to stay. Staying HB, we always enjoy the freshness and vast variety of foods available and dining in the garden area under the stained glass dome makes it a perfect experience. The last and most important thing is to congratulate the hotel on the professionalism of their staff, nothing is too much trouble and there is always a warm welcome. I know a quiet few people who also visit time and time again, it’s a place that just gets to you. We will obviously keep coming back. Getting ready now to celebrate my birthday evening meal.

A very enjoyable holiday organised by First for Bridge. The hotel had been recommended by two friends and exceeded expectations in every way apart from the room. This was very comfortable but looked due North so did not have any sunshine and we had to ask for a supplementary heater for the cold evenings. The buffet food was very varied and of a high quality and the grounds were immaculate with a wide range of tropical plants.

Nous avons pris une chambre HoneyMoon avec terrsasse et jacusi privé , c etait un régal , pas une fausse note tant pour le service , restraurant , petit déjeuner , diner , spectacle tous les soirs , bars . Les piscines sont trés agreables avec de la place pour tout le monde, le spa est fabuleux pour passer une aprés midi relax. L'hotel est plein centre mais sans les incovennient de la foule . Omg this hotel is just wonderful, we were there just before Christmas and they had gone to so much effort decorating the hotel. We were bed and breakfast, great choice of foods hot and cold, cava and bloody Mary’s if you wanted them, a good choice of cooked breakfast options and quite a few juices. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony and cleaned daily. The walk through the lush green gardens down to the bottom gate was so lovely we did it each evening when going out for dinner. There’s even a lovely little chapel in the grounds. Staff were lovely, the heated pool was perfect in December and lovely that you could walk into it instead of having to use steps. So fabulous that we have come home and booked again. Highly recommend a visit.

This hotel is a huge compound of hospitality areas. apartments, suites, rooms, pools, tennis courts, gardens, spa. amusements and much more. Although some of the suites are a little dated, everywhere is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. It has excellent food at the buffet dining room, a Michelin starred restaurant and a stylish poolside bar and cafe. It's greatest asset is its staff. who are multilingual, charming and for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Christmas stay at the Cordial Mogan Playa. Had a great stay here 18 months ago, and our return visit has not disappointed. Lovely hotel, very clean inside and out, and as a bonus the Christmas décor was a delight. Had a standard room which was quite adequate, well furnished and plenty of space, the housekeeping staff do a great job. All staff very friendly and helpful, from reception to dining room to pool lifeguard! Food was good quality and plentiful with a wide choice at breakfast and dinner, but the Christmas Day Gala Buffet meal was a step up, certainly special in choice and quality, great atmosphere too. Glad to say that the food labelling was much better overall this time, made it easier to choose the right meal! Easy, pleasant walk to lovely Mogan Marina and shops, weather was kind too, bit of a shock to return to chilly Cheshire. Would not hesitate to stay again (my wife might even persuade me to return next Christmas!).

Absolutely incredible holiday. Food was the best we have had at an all inclusive resort. Travelled as a family with three children (aged 10, 8 and 8) and they had a brilliant time. Resort felt safe enough that the children could roam around themselves and could help themselves to drinks as they wished with the readily available and plentiful self service drinks stations. Location was good and short walk from the town and beaches. Will definitely look to return again.

This was our first visit to Cordial Mogán Playa, although we did stay at their sister hotel in the capital earlier in the year. We had an excellent time and really enjoyed our holiday, which was made all the more special by the excellent staff in every single department – helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Remarkably, although this hotel has something like 500 beds, the staff managed to make our stay seem like we were in a small boutique hotel – a credit to all the team and the management. The location is ideal being at the south end of the island which benefits from great weather and right on the edge of the town, so easy to access the bars, restaurants and other facilities – we particularly enjoyed our boat trip down the coast. The gardens are worthy of special mention, a real oasis of calm and tranquility and when we next visit, we will partake in one of the tours that are offered. Our only negative comment is the hotels decision to charge a “day rate” for use of the security safe in the bedroom – I’ve travelled to many countries and hotels over many years and never encountered this before, disappointing bearing in mind everything else was just so perfect. It should be said that using the safe probably wasn’t necessary as we felt completely secure in the gated environment. We also really enjoyed the great food, both at breakfast and in the restaurant, we had originally anticipated eating out at a local restaurant, maybe one or two evenings, but just didn’t feel the need to as the quality and range of food on offer was outstanding and great value too. We have already booked for next year and looking forward to it, especially as I write this review on a horrible grey and rainy day in the UK :- )

This is a beautiful hotel set in tropical gardens. The room was a suite which was nice ,with a large balcony and 2 reclining sun beds ,table and two chairs. Never had a problem finding beds by the two excellent large pools, which are fully accessible to disabled people. The breakfast was buffet style and very good, with a choice of hot or cold breakfast types . Evening meal was ok, I just found it a bit of a chore to find out what was on offer, due to queues at each food station. You are allocated a table which is your table for the duration of your stay. The sweets by the way are to die for. The cleaning of the room was excellent and done every morning . The hotel grounds are absolutely amazing, just walking around the grounds was a joy. The hotel staff are first class, polite and can't help you enough. Sitting having a drink in the hotel foyer at night , with live relaxing music was a great way to end your day. If I have one criticism, it's the service in the foyer at night , the bar staff and waiter service are very slow. The waiter was on his own and run off his feet . More waiters needed at night please. Gave the poor guy a good tip at the end of our stay, he certainly earned it . To sum up then, the best hotel I have ever stayed in, the setting is fabulous, the waterfalls, plants and relaxing feel to the place are first class. Will I return? MOST DEFINITELY.

Tolle Hotelanlage mit echt toller Lage. Alles grünt und blüht hier. Die Strandnähe ist wunderbar. Haben daher die großflächige Pool-Landschaft gar nicht genutzt sondern waren zum Baden am Strand. Wir haben nur mit Frühstück gebucht und abends die große Auswahl an Restaurants und Bars am Hafen und am Strand genossen. Wenn die Tagestouristen abgereist waren gab es hier nie Probleme einen freien Tisch zu bekommen. Das Frühstück im Hotel ist reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. The grand foyer, friendly check-in with cava on arrival make you feel instantly welcome and relaxed. The many plants and trees around the gardens are beautiful and give a sense of tranquility. Our room without a pool view was spacious, still had a balcony with nice table and chairs and offered better value than a pool view room. I think we were lucky to have a room between our favourite pool and the dining hall. The hotel is quite spread-out and low-rise and traditional. The food is excellent, as is the entertainment laid on for guests nightly, far away enough from guest rooms to maintain peace, if required. The pool area is clean and well-kept. Plenty of sun loungers. Two separate areas to choose from - one is very serene and one with family fun, and the entertainment team on hand with occasional activities eg water aerobics, fashion shows etc. The clientele were mixed ages, mainly British, Irish, German and Spanish, all decent well-behaved people and nice families. There is a Michelin starred restaurant on site as well as the buffet and we loved the pool-side bar and restaurant as the food was good and also good value. In any case you’re also only a stroll away from the heart of beautiful Mogan with its harbour, beach and a great many restaurants. Also boat trips are available from the harbour to other resorts and there are plenty of busses at the nearby bus station and car-hire available from the hotel, should you wish to explore the island. The hotel is also an excellent location for hiking and exploring with an important archeological site, which happens to be situated in the hotel’s grounds. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

We had the most incredible week at Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel, in Puerto De Mogan celebrating our wedding with our family and friends. Every single guest loved it so much they’re already talking about coming back! From the delicious food, hotel grounds and super attentive staff our whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. A huge thank you to Maria and her amazing team for all the care, attention, and thoughtful arrangements that made our wedding day absolutely perfect. Maria went above and beyond in every way — she even organised the chapel flowers with a local florist to perfectly match my bouquet and the whole wedding vibe. We also want to give a special mention to Tenesoya, who performed such a beautiful ceremony that we’ll remember forever. And an extra special thank you to Maria for kindly lending my brother her husband’s guitar so he could play during the ceremony — such a personal and touching gesture. Our stay in the honeymoon suite was faultless — from the thoughtful gifts to the creative (and very fun!) towel arrangements. Everything was perfect. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, and we always felt well looked after. The hot tub in the honeymoon suite was such a luxury! We loved every moment of our time at Cordial Playa and can’t wait to return for our first wedding anniversary. Thank you again for making our wedding week so magical!

We are currently having our fourth stay here since 2022. This is our favourite hotel in our favourite destination. It’s so lovely, tranquil and beautifully kept. All of the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and we love everything about the hotel. We only ever stay bed and breakfast (of which there’s something for everyone) as we love the great variety of quality restaurants in the resort. We already have our 5th stay booked and will be joining our 6th when we get home. The staff are very good at ensuring guests aren’t reserving sunbeds of a morning and then not using them until much later in ther day. Generally though I do find that whilst all of the sunbeds inevitably get taken they are actually in use because the areas around the pool are beautiful and a lovely place to spend your day. Counting down to next year already and we still have another week here!

Es un hotel donde todo es sorprendente. El primer impacto positivo es cuando llegas y entras a la monumental recepción. El resto ya se pueden imaginar, lo mejor de lo mejor: jardines, piscina, la amabilidad y eficacia del personal, las piscinas, los restaurantes,... En fin todo.

Oh wow, from the beginning they blew us away. We had a (very) late arrival as our flight only landed after 20:00, so we got to the hotel near 22:00 - on arrival they offered us drinks, sent someone to bring our bags, and then set up a mini-buffet for the late-night arrivals. The overall property is absolutely stunning, the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the location is gorgeous. Multiple pools, rooms are nice and spacious, and the rotating meals (we had half-board) were varied and delicious.

We had a pleasant stay at the Boutique Hotel Cordial and we would highly recommend coming here. The prices are fair and the staff, especially the young male receptionist was exeptionally friendly. The rooms absolutely lived up and beyond our expectations and leave no room for criticism in my opinion. Breakfast, which was done very lovely by the kitchen staff, was not too much to choose from, altough there is something to eat for everyone. The parking situation is a bit difficult, which was absolutely predictable, considering you are staying in the old town. I gotta say, the rooftop bar was the only thing a bit dissapointing. Staff did not greet us when walking up and the service in genereal was a bit off. Nevertheless the stay was fantastic and the hotel was absolutely lovely!!

The hotel was exceptional, the layout out of the hotel and facilities were exceptional. As there were two pools, the pool area beside the hotel reception was nice and quiet. The pool setting and scenery was phenomenal providing a natural view of the area. The breakfast buffet and also dinner buffet was also exceptional providing amply choices of food. The hotel also offered guests the opportunity to partake in aqua classes etc. The cleaning staff were amazing, excellent service and proficient and friendly. The reception staff were also excellent specifically "Jim or Tim" who ensured I was provided with a breakfast to go on my last day as I was due to leave prior to 7.30am.

Mi hotel top one en Gran Canaria, lo he visitado en muchas oportunidades y la verdad, que solo puedo decir maravillas. Comenzando por el Buffet de desayuno y cena, donde nos hemos llevado una grata sorpresa, con la predisposición y simpatía de Yago, el metre, que en todo momento, estuvo pendiente de cada cuestión que le planteamos, resolviendo todo, al momento, sin olvidarnos, del resto del personal, desde la recepción hasta el restaurante, que han sido muy amables y nos han explicado el funcionamiento de las instalaciones y cada plato del buffet. Hay que destacar, que en esta oportunidad, hemos notado, una mejora importante en variedad, calidad, presentación, en el buffet de cena, respecto a otras visitas anteriores, incluso, comparándolo con hoteles de mayor categoría. Mil gracias, por hacer de nuestras vacaciones, un momento inolvidable!

Lovely family holiday

Rooms were very nice, beds were comfortable and we had a lovely pool view. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection. Hotel was a short walk from shops, beach and the harbour so a really good location. We all enjoyed the pool and pool side snack bar/restaurant. The hotel has an interesting archeological area to explore which exits into the town - really nice views from a good height. There were a couple of reasons it wasn’t a 5 - first one was there was a lot of building noise from nearby resorts (this was end of May) which was disruptive when at the pool, there was also some cat litter trays under the stairwell of the block our room was in and it meant our day started and ended having to walk through this stink. I appreciate having a space for the cats but cat litter trays near rooms in a hot location isn’t ideal. finally we found the entertainment area/bar lacked any atmosphere. First night we assumed the bar was so dark and quiet because there was no entertainment that night but even on the nights when something was on it was a bit quiet. It is known as a quieter resort though so not a huge issue and we as we ate out each evening it wasn’t a huge issue for us. Overall a very nice hotel in a good location.

El hotel ofrece un buen servicio para que los niños pasen una buena estancia (miniclub, actividades lúdicas -cine- y minidisc, actividades deportiva en piscina, disponibilidad nocturna, etc.) y también para los adultos (piscina, gimnasio, spa, etc.) Personalmente, me gustó bastante la comida del bufet, variada y buena. Las 3 noches que estuvimos había una fuente de chocolate y multitud de postres, que hizo las delicias de los más pequeños.

Second time at this fantastic hotel. The staff are very polite, Pedro the lifeguard is extremely helpful and friendly and the animation team provide good entertainment by the pool. Rooms are cleaned every day, the breakfast buffet has everything and the hotel is only a short 5 minute walk to the beach. 10/10, would highly recommend staying here.

Las piscinas, la vegetación tan cuidada, las instalaciones, cada rincón es una belleza, cuevas con cascadas, agua, todo rodeado de espacios preciosos. El personal encantador, las habitaciones muy acordes con la temática del hotel porque esta inspirado en un pueblo canario, no pegan habitaciones con mobiliario moderno. Las terrazas, todo es maravilloso. El personal de recepción súper amable al igual que el de las comidas donde puedes comer viendo una preciosa cascada y hay 2 graciosos robots recogiendo los platos. La comida muy variada, para todos los públicos, española e internacional.

Loved this hotel! Beautiful hotel in beautiful location. Swimming pools were a nice temp, decent-sized and so relaxing. We spent most of the time in the family pool, and it didn’t feel overly crowded. No problem getting sunbeds at either pool. Rooms were large and clean. Food was ok, and drinks well priced. No problems with queuing for a table (we went for early sittings), and we loved sitting out near the waterfall. Our child particularly loved the animation team, outdoor chess and table tennis. There are a couple of supermarkets just outside the hotel so it’s easy to buy bottled water and food for lunch. 5-min stroll to the beautiful marina and beach.

Beautiful hotel set in stunning surroundings. Our room was very clean and comfortable with everything you would expect of a hotel room. Staff were exceptionally friendly and polite, always smiling and extremely helpful. Food was plentiful and very tasty. I am a fussy eater but never had any problems finding something I wanted. Location was good, a short walk from beach and harbour with a few shops and restaurants directly opposite the hotel entrance. The only thing I had an issue with was the absence of choice regarding the red wine included in the half board plus option. I didn’t like the wine on offer and was told there was no alternative other than to buy a bottle. Given the amount paid for drinks to be included with the evening meal I found this highly unsatisfactory. To summarise, we had a really wonderful 10 days in July, so much so we have just booked again for September. (We will be going half board only this time).

Ich bin nun das dritte Mal dort gewesen. Meine Freunde das neunte mal sogar. Dieses Hotel ist einfach Spitze. Der Ort ist ruhig und klein. Perfekt zum Entspannen. Wenn man Party möchte oder mehr Leben, kann man problemlos mit dem Bus sehr günstig zu den Orten fahren.

We stayed at Mogan Playa recently and had an enjoyable stay. For the accommodation we made use of the Solaz apartments adjoining the main hotel (reviewed separately, highly recommended) The grounds of the hotel are very impressive, the reception and lobby areas make a great first impression when arriving and the rest of the hotel is similarly kept and maintained, there are numerous activities available including tennis, bowling, giant chess, arcade, table tennis, kid's club, and particularly intriguing is the archaeological reserve which includes a trail that leads up a hill to its own bar Two large pools, we had trouble finding space is the main one so made use of the 'quiet' pool (this means no inflatables allowed but otherwise is not needlessly strict). We encountered quite a few examples of sunbeds that saw empty towels on them with people not using them for quite some time but the staff were routinely checking and applying a parking meter style system (warning note and if not used within 2 hours towel removed). On one day the pool was shut down and evacuated as it appeared someone had been unfortunately sick. An inconvenience but a big positive how proactive the staff were in taking care of the issue. The staff were all friendly and attentive, cleaning staff very thorough and reception personnel all very helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel four times already, and every time it feels just perfect. The staff are wonderful — we meet the same friendly faces each year, which says a lot about the place. We even brought our friends here, and they loved it too. Everything is cozy and exactly as we expect. Our kids enjoy every part of it — the pools, the activities, and the food. Last time we also celebrated New Year here, and the fireworks were amazing — just like in a big city. Coming back always feels like coming home.

Tolle große Anlage wie ein botanischer Garten, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Alles sehr gepflegt obwohl es nicht das neueste Hotel ist. Aber dadurch dass es nicht ultramodern ist hat es auch einen gewissen Charme. Speisenauswahl bei Frühstück und Abendessen mehr als ausreichend. Zimmer sind sehr groß und sehr sauber. Toll finde ich auch dass es 2 Pools gibt. Einer für die Ruhesuchenden wo Ballspielen o.ä. nicht erlaubt ist und einen für Familien zum spielen und laut sein.

Una de las mejores estancias Hace mucho que no había estado en un Hotel con unos empleados tan amables y sensibles a las necesidades de sus clientes. Siempre sonrientes! Y eso no es tan fácil de encontrar. He trabajado en muchos hoteles y en cadenas muy lujosas, además de haber sido turista en varias partes del mundo y esta estancia ha dejado constancia en nuestro diario de viajes familiar. Quiero dar constancia y evidencia que todo el empleado ha sido súper amable, un saludo especial para Jenny de recepción y Laura en restaurante. Pero dar nombres también dar nombres a todos porque la verdad que incluso el servicio de habitaciones ha sido impecable, por no hablar de la comida que es espectacular y hay un surtido enorme. La habitación estaba limpia antes durante y despues de cada salida del cuarto! Nos sentimos agradecidos desde el fondo del corazón por habernos dado unas vacaciones de lujo. Sin duda volveremos. Gracias por el Spa! Estuve en dos masajes distintos y fue de los mejores hasta hoy!

Stuff were excellent and very friendly, they handled everything perfectly. Breakfast has a good range of hot and cold food. Always plenty of options. The pool was perfect for our two year old and the surroundings were lovely. Lots of older children in the pool and it seemed there was something for lots of age groups. Very easy to get to town and the beach front.

El hotel es maravilloso, las instalaciones están muy bien y está ubicado en una zona muy bonita de la isla. Es cierto que para salir por la noche en los alrededores no tiene muchas cosas, pero puedes acudir a Puerto Rico que está muy próximo. El buffet muy variado y comida buena. La habitación amplia y cómoda. El hotel también tiene dos parkings, lo cual resulta muy cómodo para la instancia. El horario de la piscina es un poco reducido, pero puedes seguir haciendo uso de la misma bajo tu responsabilidad.

We stayed at the hotel this year as a family, and we just loved it!!! The aura of this place, the architecture and its beauty, the location and the amenities it offers are the best. The hotel is quite spacious, lovely and has a lot to offer. I always prefer more classic places that can relate a lot to the country/town I am in with its design and features, and this hotel was spot on. The staff of the hotel is also helpful and friendly, but I would like to highlight and acknowledge mostly the efforts of the entertainment team, particularly Samuele and Gonzalo. They are the most amazing guys we met in the hotel, they made my kids so happy and welcome, you should be proud to have such team members. Please acknowledge their efforts with this feedback. Everytime we met them they went that extra mile to make the kids enjoy the activities fully. The food of the hotel is also nice, however it could have been a bit more versatile; it felt the options are quite repetitive every day. Other than this, everything else is just superb, including the location which is only 7-8 mins walk to the beach and to this beautiful area called Little Venice with great views to the ocean. We will definitely come back here again, but those were great memories to cherish. So Thank You!!!

This hotel was amazing and exceeded expectations based on how much we paid. It is within walking distance to the beach (about 7 minutes with young children!) and with a selection of shops and restaurants nearby. The harbour is close by with lots of beautiful buildings. The hotel grounds are well maintained and had large pools. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the entertainment- having said that I would definitely book again.

The hotel is impeccably clean and the staff are so friendly. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable with good air conditioning. The buffet food is varied and tasty with fresh juices available every day. The pools, bowling, tennis court, gym, etc are all well maintained and enjoyable to use. The spa is very luxurious with lovely treatments available and at reasonable prices. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach and the hotel provides towels for use at the beach and pool. We will definitely be returning!

Everything. Staff couldn't be friendlier. The hotel is just picturesque with the mountains in the background and the botanic garden theme. The reception and swimming pool areas look amazing. Breakfast is great and you are spoilt for choice. I'm sure lunch and dinner are also good but never got to try them. They also provide quality night shows after dinner. Location of the hotel is excellent to walk to the beach or marina.

This hotel is a dream. It has everything you can wish for located in a paradise resort. The botanical garden is in itself a marvel surrounding the various swimming pools. There is a gym, bowling alley, diving club, tennis, billiard, hiking on the hill at the back of the hotel with exceptional views. The breakfast buffet is diverse, fresh and even has a gluten free/vegan option with various smoothies. It is close to the beach where you can snorkel among coloured fish in the beautiful Puerto de Mogan. There is entertainment in the evening and various restaurants in the hotel itself. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with courtyards that have waterfalls, beautiful trees & flowers. The staff are very friendly and professional and you even have free indoor parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family as the best hotel on the island.

Desde la simpatía y atención en la recepción al llegar, pasando por el chico Heladio que nos llevó las maletas y explicó las instalaciones. Pasando por las chicas de limpieza que les preguntábamos cualquier cosa y siempre con atención contestaban. Todo verde y super cuidado. La pajarera de canarios estaba super aseada y siempre cuidada con fruta. Los gatos de la colonia nos enamoraron.

Everything was wonderful. We were supposed to stay at another hotel but when we arrived there it was not as described so we didn’t check in , we needed somewhere to stay and so happy that we found this beautiful hotel. The reception staff were so helpful, they could see we were stressed and quickly helped to turn a bad situation into a smooth relaxed check in.. The rooms were lovely and very clean, towels were changed twice a day and there was a turn down service every night. The restaurant and bar staff were very good. We only had breakfast at the hotel but there was so much choice and good quality. A hidden gem, we will definitely be back xx

Nos alojamos 15 noches en media pensión. Una familia de tres. Teníamos una sala de estar que tiene dos dormitorios con una puerta interconectada. Súper espacio para que todos disfruten. Bonitas habitaciones, camas muy cómodas. El servicio de limpieza todos los días fue agradable. Toallas limpias y camas hechas. Desayunamos y cenamos. Siempre hay algo que hay que tener para ambos. A veces, la sala principal se llenaba, tal vez un poco de espera para que la carne se cocinara a pedido. La calidad era excelente y fresca. Los jardines y las piscinas son espectaculares. La temperatura del agua era perfecta para un refrescante baño. Enhorabuena esperando con ansias nuestra segunda visita.

El hotel se encuentra situado en una de las mejores zonas de la isla de Gran Canaria. Sus jardines y piscinas son estupendas. El personal es muy atento y la habitación es grande y bien equipada. La comida es excelente. Puedes ir por el hotel casi hasta la playa. Cruzas el puente y estás en el puerto. Imprescindible caminar por sus calles y subir al mirador por las casas del pueblo.

Waren 11 Tage im Juni als Familie hier und rundum zufrieden. Das Hotel ist sehr schön mit vielen Pflanzen wie in einem botanischen Garten. Alles ist sauber, unser Familienzimmer war quasi zwei Zimmer in einem, so dass wir großzügig Platz und zwei Bäder und Duschen hatten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist schön, Supermärkte sind direkt in der Nähe und am Strand ist man auch in 5 Minuten. Highlight war für uns das Essen (Buffet), das wir noch nie so gut in einem familienfreundlichen Restaurant zu so einem Preis hatten. Vieles wird direkt live an verschiedenen Stationen zubereitet, alles schmeckt wirklich gut. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

Wow!! The Cordial Mogan Playa is a very impressive hotel. No high buildings here, it is set like a village within tropical gardens which are very well maintained and clean. Inside the main building the decor is stunning with high decorative ceilings. Breakfast and Dinner offerings are fabulous. Various cooking stations offering meat, fish, roast meats, pizza,pasta. Mussels, caviar, cold buffet. Vegetarian and gluten free are catered for. Breakfast is plentiful I've never been to any hotel with such a presentation of lovely food. Breakfast is great, plenty options - even wine or a bloody mary if desired! I was impressed by the standard of service jn the dining area - and I just love a tablecloth and napkin! There is also a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel which is beautiful. Comfortable rooms furnished in traditional style and extremely pleasant. Staff all around the hotel from cleaner, gardener to management - any member who you encounter will greet you. Good evening entertainment programme which was different each night of 11 night stay. Children's entertainment good and the animation team work very hard. I cannot find fault with the Cordial whatsoever and cannot understand how it is not a 5 star hotel. I can't wait to visit again. Thank you for a really enjoyable holiday.

An absolutely fantastic hotel. Staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We had a room in block 2 on the 4th floor overlooking pool 1, and had sun on our balcony in the afternoon/evening. Room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing, I don't think I have ever seen so much choice! The robot waiters moving the used dishes around was fun. The grounds and gardens are stunning and everything is kept so clean and tidy. I hope to return again soon.

This is truly a fantastic hotel from the rooms to the swimming pools however I am only going to review the gluten free for fellow coeliacs. The main restaurant is well organised, spacious and we had half board of breakfast and dinner. For breakfast there is a large choice and a dedicated gluten free toaster with biscuits, cereals, breads and a few choices of prepackaged cakes etc.The staff are well aware of gluten free and the head chef will take you on a tour of what is available. The good part is the chefs clearly understood gf and did not point out items that clearly contain gluten which I have found often happens. For the evening meal the staff will bring you packaged baguettes and can cook separate pasta and fries separately to avoid contamination. There is considerable choice of meats, fish, vegetables, salad etc which is all cooked to a high standard.the chefs will also if asked prepare you a cake type desert. I did notice many of the deserts should be naturally gf however as is the norm nowadays hotels are scared to say they are gf just in case of cross contamination. A super hotelif you require gf food.

El hotel es una maravilla, parece q entras en un cuento de hadas en cuanto atraviesas el lobby. Los jardines son espectaculares, un verdadero vergel. Tiene dos fantásticas piscinas tipo lago, que hacen las delicias de mayores y pequeños. La restauración es fantástica en cualquier momento, desde el buffet de desayuno al increíble Buffet de la cena. El restaurante tiene una terraza acristalada maravillosa con un pequeño lago en el que desemboca una cascada que le da un ambiente mágico, pero si prefieres la zona del jardín de orquídeas tampoco te sentirás defraudado. Y sin duda el gran valor del hotel son los empleados, desde q entras y te atienden en la recepción con esa maravillosa sonrisa y cuando los chicos de las maletas te acompañan y te van explicando. En cualquiera de los restaurantes los camareros y cocineros son encantadores. las camareras de piso, los socorristas, el staff por supuesto. Todos ellos consiguen que tus vacaciones sean un sueño. Especial mención por mi parte si se me permite tanto a José Santana como a Valeria, sin vosotros esto no sería igual.

Our first time to Mogan & we chose the right hotel. Online check in was easy to complete which made for a speedy checking in on arrival. I think what makes this hotel is the staff, in every department. Cannot be helpful enough. The standard rooms are pleasant enough but more importantly clean & tidy. There are two pools set in beautiful gardens both clean and well manicured. Would highly recommend the botanical tour and the archaeological walk. Very informative guide and you learn a lot about the history of the port. Wear comfy shoes. The evening entertainment was good, but if that’s not your thing you could sit with a cold drink and listen to the pianist in the foyer. We went B & B and the breakfast choices were amazing with a nice touch of a glass of fizz to wash it down. Try sitting in the outside but covered part of the dining room. The waterfall starts at 8a.m. The port is a safe well lit walk with numerous choices. We particularly liked the Irish Pub. Das Servicepersonal ist jederzeit freundlich und hilfreich ... bis hin zum Ausleihen der Brille, weil wir die im Zimmer vergessen hatten und die Getränkekarte nicht lesen konnten. We returned from our third visit just 5 days ago. We are a family of 6 adults and 6 children. We had the best time and will return next year. Have read some reviews regarding staff and lack of information. The staff are what makes the hotel special. Everyone says hello and checkin was smooth with good information about hotel. As a club cordial member you do get discount in the hotel. Agree that separate payment for the safe seems silly. The quiet pool is quiet. The kids pool is lively with weekly fashion show kids activities in the afternoon Aqua aerobics at midday inflatables in the pool late afternoon. Our grandkids had a great time. Evening entertainment mixed but we don’t really do that much as we only have bed and breakfast and walk to the port each evening as it is beautiful. Took the ferry boat one day to anfi well worth doing. We will return to the cordial next year. For a family holiday it is perfect. Rooms are dated but we only slept there. Hotel we live

Estamos alojados ahora mismo en el hotel con mi marido y la experiencia está siendo fantástica. Vinimos a pasar unos días de descanso y no podríamos estar más contentos con nuestra elección. El hotel es amplio, cómodo y acogedor. Las instalaciones están muy bien cuidadas, limpias y llenas de detalles que transmiten tranquilidad y calidad. Las piscinas son grandes y agradables, nunca están saturadas, y la zona ajardinada es simplemente espectacular. Todo está tan limpio que hasta las piedras brillan. Se nota que el personal pone mucho mimo en todo lo que hace. El restaurante es excelente, tanto en los desayunos como en las cenas. Todo se sirve con cuidado, con buena presentación y mucha variedad. Además, cada noche hay música en directo o algún tipo de espectáculo, lo que añade un toque especial a la estancia. El personal ha sido encantador desde el primer momento: en recepción, en el restaurante, el equipo de limpieza… Todos muy atentos, simpáticos y siempre con una sonrisa. Otra ventaja es que el hotel está a solo 15 minutos andando de la playa, y justo enfrente hay tiendas, supermercados y cafeterías, lo cual resulta muy práctico. Estoy compartiendo algunas fotos y recomendaciones en mis perfiles de Instagram mientras disfrutamos de este lugar tan bonito. Das beste an dem Frühstück war für mich die glutenfreie Ecke mit einem eigenem Ofen für die glutenfreien Baguettes. Das war richtig toll und vor allem lecker ! Ganz großes Lob dafür! Das Essen ansonsten ist ok, der Service größtenteils freundlich. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung. Gegenüber befindet sich ein kleines Shoppingcenter und ein Supermarkt. Las categorías por estrellas en el sector de los Hoteles resultan anticuadas, básicamente porque deberían ir acompañadas de ciertos servicios. La tesitura de muchos destinos turísticos es competir en precio y cuando un 4 estrellas baja mucho la tarifa ya no te va a ofrecer el servicio esperado. A día de hoy muchos hoteles escatiman en personal, no cuidan a éste y se olvidan de los detalles, ofertando servicios mediocres en hoteles que regentan 4 y 5 estrellas. El caso de Cordial Mogán Playa es un ejemplo de lo que sí hay que hacer, un caso práctico de muy buena gestión. Desde sus relaciones públicas hasta las cocineras de la plancha. Instalaciones adecuadas y muy muy cuidadas. Un verdadero Jardín Botánico (literal ) cuidado al detalle. Mucho personal trabajando contento. Especial mención a Raquel del servicio de sala / bar y a Eli pisos / zonas comunes. también a Araceli (bar mirador ) y Kevin así como muchos de sus compañeros. Todos los cocineros y cocineras de buffet , impresionantemente atentos. Una chica de Mieres que trabaja en la zona de fruta / batidos del buffet de desayuno es alegría pura y buen hacer. Valeria como siempre muy arriba en el ranking. Domingo y compañeros de Recepción / Botones Nuestros amigos de animación , todo el equipo , Avi , Maria , Jorge , Thomas , Sandy. Excellent hotel, beautiful setting and the rooms were very welcome. We would definitely return. We went half-board and would recommend that option. The food was good with a really excellent breakfast. The evening meals were also good with plenty of healthy options. The pools are terrific. We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday and this is what the hotel is all about. Also the evening entertainment was worth staying for.

Siguiendo por todo el complejo, su distribución, sus edificios, su recepción, las piscinas (3) en distintas zonas del complejo, con sus cafeterías y jacuzzis, todo el paisajismo,( plantas, árboles, palmeras, cactus, ) ; sus comedores, donde los desayunos son espectaculares... Gran diversidad y gran calidad ( sí alguien se queja es porque no tiene ni idea) . Para todo tipo de paladares y gustos. El complejo alberga tres restaurantes, un centro de spa, hasta una capilla... Todo en un área perimetrada y cerrada. Sí vas con coche hay parking disponible gratuito. Y el personal... De lo mejor. Eficiente, profesionales, siempre atentos y con una sonrisa permanente haciéndote sentir alguien especial.

This hotel was so good last year that we just had to go back again and it didn’t disappoint! Great staff, great location, beautiful grounds and fabulous room with a balcony and everything you could need. Great range of choice at breakfast and we appreciated the reserved seating close to the buffet for those with mobility issues. I loved the quieter pool for an afternoon swim and a sit under a parasol. It was my husband’s birthday during our stay and the hotel was so generous in leaving gifts, including an opportunity to try the thermals at the spa which was fabulous. We truly appreciate the service the hotel staff provide. Thank you to the whole team.

Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa – A Perfect Family Holiday!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa with our three children (ages 5, 7, and 9), and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed, the hotel is clean, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, with lush gardens full of palm trees, ponds and waterfalls. Check-In & Dining - Check-in was smooth and stress-free. Although we had been initially given the later dinner slot, and being told there was no availability for the first sitting, dining staff were more than happy to switch us to the earlier one to better suit our young children. Hotel Grounds & Pools - The hotel’s grounds are immaculate, and the overall setting is truly picturesque. There are two main pools, a quieter one closer to reception where inflatables aren't allowed, and a livelier family-friendly pool towards the bottom. This balance worked perfectly, letting everyone enjoy the space in their own way. Lifeguards were always present and attentive. While the hotel has a no-reserving-sunbeds policy, many guests still left towels for hours. That said, we never struggled to find sunbeds after breakfast and were usually able to move a couple together to suit our family. Behind the hotel is a scenic walking path that leads up the mountain to a small café and viewpoint. It was a lovely little adventure, and our kids really enjoyed the experience. Dining & Service - The buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh fruits, salads, meats, and themed dishes like sushi and Mexican cuisine on certain nights. The restaurant also features two friendly plate-clearing robots, Lolo and Lola, which the kids absolutely loved spotting each time. Staff in the restaurant were extremely attentive and welcoming, always greeting us and chatting with the children. The only small hiccup was on the first evening, we were mistakenly given wine that wasn't included in our Half Board Plus package. However, it was quickly corrected and we weren’t charged, so no issue there, just something for servers to be mindful of with new arrivals. Kids Club & Activities - The kids club was fantastic and ran two daily sessions (11:15–13:30 and 14:45–17:00), with a mix of crafts, painting, bingo, archery, hama beads, easter egg hunt and more. It gave us some much-needed adult time, and the children genuinely enjoyed seeing the staff around the pool and complex. One day, there was a pool party complete with an inflatable slide, water mat, and lively music — a real highlight! There were also spontaneous poolside games like bingo, bowling, and “guess the sequence.” Our kids even won a few times and were treated to a free mocktail or ice cream. One afternoon we were also offered samples of local Canarian cheese poolside! The main pool bar had great service, a lovely view, and delicious cocktails, the Mai Tai is highly recommended! We didn’t get to try the quieter pool’s bar, but it looked serene and inviting. Other facilities include trampolines, large chess, tennis courts, ping pong, and a bowling alley. We didn’t visit the spa on this trip, but it looked beautiful — ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing treat. Evening Entertainment - Great fun and varied each night. We saw tribute acts to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, a talented acrobatic show, and our absolute favourite — The Lion King performance by the animation team. The effort and energy from the staff were amazing, and they clearly love what they do. Special shoutouts to Abbey, Thomas and another lady who was the main lead (apologies, we didn't get your name) for being so engaging, and a special shout out to Jorge — an absolute star who brought so much joy to every day. He was always upbeat, high-fiving the kids, dancing around, and spreading good vibes. He really embodies what a great rep should be and is a real credit to the team. The nightly mini disco at 8pm was a hit with our little ones, though some reps were more confident than others. Carlos the Caterpillar, the resort mascot, made regular appearances and was available for group photos, which was a nice touch that avoided long queues. Location - The hotel is in the peaceful and picturesque town of Mogán. There’s a SuperDino supermarket just across the road for essentials, along with a few shops and bars. A short walk down to the beach takes you past a great children’s park and a selection of shops, including Ale-Hop for fun finds. To the left, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars, and ice cream parlours. To the right, you can walk across the bridge into stunning Puerto de Mogán — a charming, canal-lined area nicknamed “Little Venice.” It’s full of boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, and boat excursions. We particularly enjoyed browsing the large Friday market with its endless stalls. Boat trips and even submarine excursions are also available if you’re after something different. There’s a beach as well, but with the heat and convenience of the hotel pools, we chose to stay poolside for swimming. Accommodation - Our family room was essentially two connecting rooms in one, which worked really well for our family of five. While the view wasn’t anything special, the space was more than adequate and housekeeping did a fantastic job. If a good view matters to you, upgrading might be worth considering. Room for Improvement - Our only suggestion would be to improve how guests access information about activities. There was a tour of the hotel grounds we only heard about toward the end of our stay, and daily schedules were displayed on a screen at reception, which meant we had to take photos to keep track. In 2025, an app with live activity updates would be a great addition to help families stay informed with ease. We had such a relaxing, fun, and memorable stay. Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa exceeded our expectations and was the perfect family-friendly destination. We would absolutely return and recommend it to others without hesitation. Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so special — we hope to visit again soon! :)

Ein tolles Hotel für alle die gut essen und tolles Ambiente genießen wollen. Hier fehlt es an nichts. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer und sehr gute Ausstattung. Matratze ist auch sehr bequem. Sowohl Frühstückst als auch Abendessen ist in Buffetform. Die Speisen waren ausgezeichnet und abwechslungsreich und es gab immer Nachschub. Einfach fantastisch. Das gesamte Personal war überaus freundlich und sehr engagiert was heute nicht mehr so oft anzutreffen ist. Die gesamte Anlage ist mit Grünpflanzen umgeben und man fühlt sich wie in einer Oase der Gemütlichkeit. Es gibt zwei Pools die sehr groß und äußerst sauber sind und mit einer bequemen Treppe samt Geländer zum hineingehen ausgestattet sind. Einfach toll.

We just spent a week here and what an absolutely stunning hotel. Yes the rooms are not the most modern, but the public areas are beautiful, and honestly could not be faulted. I’d booked half board purely because it didn’t cost much more than bed and breakfast, and with so many restaurants nearby, didn’t expect to use it more than once, but actually found it to be really good, a lovely setting and plenty of choice, so ate there 4 times and always found food to enjoy. In fact, having stayed at a number of Tui rated 5 star hotels, can honestly say, the food was just as good. I particularly liked the musicians that would play in the lobby each night, and the cocktails and drinks generally were really well priced. I also used the gym and found that to be well equipped, clean, lots of towels, cool, and with water. Will definitely be back for some late Autumn sun/ late winter. Thanks to all the staff there who keep the hotel so immaculate and well run.

The Cordial Mogán Playa is a large characterful hotel set in extensive grounds, nearly 12 acres to be precise. A large part of the hotel grounds is a feast of sub tropical gardens, with everything from banana trees, to tall palms, to large cacti. A huge variety of plants, all arranged so it’s possible to walk amongst them and enjoy the colour and pattern of nature. It is quite spectacular. There are two large pool areas, one best for families, as you can have great fun with your inflatables, and join in the morning exercises. While the other is more peaceful, made possible simply by the device of not encouraging inflatable play toys. Each pool area is extensive and have a large number of sun beds. Both areas have an excellent bar/restaurant area. The hotel offers a variety of activities, eg tennis, gymnasium, games room, bowling alley etc. It’s possible to arrange cycling and diving also, at the two dedicated centres. The hotel rooms are arranged in tasteful blocks, usually 3 to 4 storeys, and with their own featured sub tropical garden area. The hotel has been open some 20 years and I believe there is a programme of redecorating etc in hand, however we have always been more than happy with the older style decor, space and facilities that our rooms have offered. The buffet style meals are excellent. There is a huge choice of food on offer, and much of the cooked food is prepared to order. Breakfast can be quite busy at peak times, but we tend to have a stroll around the grounds first, and breakfast a little later when the busy time has passed. The evening meals are served in two sittings which is good for both staff and guests. There is a variety of evening entertainment in the theatre/bar area, or one can relax in the main atrium area which is a quite spectacular space. I should also add the location of the Cordial in the delightful Puerto de Mogan is also a huge plus. Quite different from other areas in Gran Canaria. So far this review is a fairy brief practical description of the hotel and its facilities. Any review is a reflection of one’s personal opinion, relating to the experience being reviewed. We have been regular visitors to this special hotel for over 10 years. To be exact 15 visits, currently with two future visits booked. So our feelings about the Cordial are based on our fondness for the hotel, the accommodation, the facilities and the staff. Over the years that we have visited, our attachment to this hotel has grown stronger with every visit. From check in to departure, our holidays in the Cordial have been superb. The extraordinary architecture of the main atrium and reception area, the joy of walking though the gardens, and the unique delight of walking up the mountain path to the Mirador bar and on to the 800 AD archaeological village area, all make the Cordial an exceptional place to stay. Huge credit must be given to the management and the staff of the Cordial Mogan Playa. It is they who make the place what it is. A building, however grand, is just a building. But a building run by staff who take pleasure in their work, who cannot do enough for you, who welcome you back with smiles and sometime even hugs, that makes it very special. As you would expect in an establishment of this size with so many guests, all individuals with their different needs etc, there will be occasions when something can go wrong. Stuff happens as they say! The key is when things don’t go to plan, how are they dealt with? From experience I can say the hotel cannot do enough to help, to put things right, or offer assistance. The staff are a real credit to the hotel, and we thank them for making our many stays so pleasurable. The Cordial Mogan Playa is a unique hotel, both in its location, it’s setting and accommodation and its management and facilities. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

This was our fourth stay at this property. The Junior Suites are a very good size with a very large bedroom, balcony with table, chairs and sun loungers. A good sized lounge and bathroom. The fridge came in handy. The gate at the back of the property meant that town and the beach were very close; probably closer than reception. Excellent choice and quality at breakfast. Very good staff. We enjoyed the turn down service and our housekeeper was excellent. We received a warm welcome at reception with a nice glass of cava.

Tiene unos preciosos jardines con muchos rincones verdes. Me ha sorprendido los diferentes espacios junto a la piscina para tomar el sol. La zona del spa es sorprendente con sus hamacas, un lugar perfecto donde relajarse. Hay un montón de actividades para mayores y pequeños, que en próximas visitas iré descubriendo. El buffet está bien cuidado y organizado. El personal muy amable y hace que nuestra estancia sea muy agradable y no queramos irnos. This was our sixth stay the last five years and Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa are still one of my favourite hotels around the world. As a top contributor at TripAdvisor I have been visiting a lot of special hotels around the world but this is the only one that I am coming back to every year. Our room (7223) was very well appointed and spacious, equipped with everything you could want. Scrupulously clean every day and quiet for a good night sleep. The room had a balcony with beautiful views. The hotel is always kept spotless both in rooms and the public areas. A huge congratulation to the whole housekeeping and garden team! The grounds of the hotel are still so lovely and very picturesque. The plants make you feel like you are in tropical gardens (see my attached photos). There was a misunderstanding about our booking when we arrived, but the management solve it on an excellent way. A great thanks to Mr. Jose Santana and Mrs. Valeria Hibovschi. The botanical garden aspect is beautiful, as are the canaries in the small avery, the main atrium/reception and even the buildings. Hace un mes unos amigos me hablaron de un hotel que estaba en Gran Canaria (en concreto, en la playa de Mogán) y me lo pusieron tan bien que me picó la curiosidad y me fui a comprobar las maravillas que decían. El hotel se llamaba Cordial, en la playa de Mogán, como antes he dicho. Y como su nombre dice, toda la gente que trabaja ahí es muy cordial con los huéspedes del hotel. La tranquilidad que se vive y se respira tanto en las habitaciones, como en el resto del hotel es de diez. Por otra parte, hay un montonazo de actividades para disfrutar, desde los más pequeños, hasta los más mayores (que también tienen su espacio) y si luego te apetece tienes un maravilloso spa para relajarte aún más. Además de esto, lo combinan con el amor a los animales y tienen un espacio para la recuperación de aves (canarios, principalmente)Y se ocupan del bienestar de 9 gatos (esterilización, comida...). Y luego está la restauracion, el buffet es todo de calidad, bien cuidado y con muchas opciones para elegir . El hotel está súper limpio y muy bien cuidado, tanto el exterior (piscinas ...) ,como habitaciones, baños... Todo el personal del hotel está para que pases una magnífica estancia, dirigidos por personas preparadas como José, el director, y Óscar, director de operaciones. Pasé tres días inolvidables, sin duda volveré. Es perfecto para ir solo o en familia, no te va a faltar nada gracias a los profesionales que están ahí y que se encargan de todo. Me dejo unas cuantas cosas para que lo descubráis porque si estáis pensando dónde coger unas vacaciones o simplemente unos días y no lo sabéis, probad en el hotel Cordial de Mogán playa, no os vais a arrepentir y vosotros seréis los siguientes en escribir la reseña.

Parking; Sound Proofing; Room Safe and other Issues

We may update the review at the end of the holiday. Our experience has been very good so far but 6 things are perhaps worth alerting prospective guests to. 1. The meals are buffet, which is fine and common for breakfast but it doesn't make for a relaxed time in the evening. 2. If you have "meals+" package (eg with Jet2 Holidays) you may find the waiting staff don't tell you ot includes house wine, when in fact it does. 3. The soundproofing of the rooms is poor. Next door had a child who we could here and there was a loud grating sound which I assume was their coffee machine. 4. There is an underground car park, reached by driving past the main entrance. What is not explained very well is that you need to do a sharp left before you reach the main underground area and open a gate using your room card. 5. The pillows are limited in number: 1 each plus 1 spare in the cupboard. 6. The room safe is charged at about E2.50 per night. In my view, use of a room safe should be encouraged and therefore free, as in every other hotel we've stayed in.

Fabulous Hotel

Just returned from our first visit to this fantastic hotel. It really does live up to its excellent reviews. The minute you enter the grounds it is such a haven of peace and tranquility with botanical plants and heated swimming pools. The reception area and lounge are very impressive, reminding me of a cruise ship atrium. There were free yoga, aquafit and other activities each day and tribute act entertainment each night. We didn't see any of the evening entertainment and ate out each night so can't comment on these but the breakfast buffet was lovely and extensive. We'll definitely return to this fabulous hotel.

It took several months after my stay at the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel before I could sit down calmly at the keyboard and describe my experience. My entire professional life has been connected with hotels. I worked in four- and five-star hotels belonging to major hotel chains such as Marriott, Accor, and InterContinental. I have seen modern hotels made of concrete, steel, and glass, as well as those integrated into historical architecture, but none have impressed me as much as Cordial Mogan Playa. The person who designed this place was not only a great professional in their field but also had vision and an incredible sense of place. The buildings blend into the mountainside, forming an architecturally and visually harmonious whole. The walkways take guests from the oasis-like pool near the reception, through a ""small tourist town"" of central buildings, and all the way to the second pool, which serves as the entertainment hub for families with children. This pool is informally called the ""loud"" pool because all the water activities take place there. In contrast, the pool near the reception is known as the ""quiet"" pool. Everywhere, we are surrounded by greenery because we are in a garden. The entire hotel grounds are an incredibly beautiful collection of many plants, each labeled and stunning in its own way. There is also a cactus garden, and the nearby benches allow for moments of reflection and aesthetic pleasure, especially when the cacti are illuminated by the setting sun's rays. At the heart of the complex, there is an aviary with canaries and a pool with beautiful fish—colorful guppies. This animal world fits perfectly into the botanical wonder of Gran Canaria that is Cordial Mogan Playa. The pools are a story of their own. We particularly liked the ""quiet"" one, full of spots hidden from the scorching sun under the leaves of numerous palm trees. The pools are large, with easy access to the water and separate shallow and deep sections. I must admit that for the first time, I spent an entire vacation in one place. I didn’t feel the need to explore, nor did I rush around Mogan in search of more attractions. I simply sat by the pool, admired the sun moving across the hotel buildings, and reflected on the beauty of the place. The poolside bar offered excellent food and drinks. I especially enjoyed the octopus, which even surpassed the one served at a seafood-specialty restaurant in the port. I highly recommend it—it's worth it. The hotel staff was excellent. Housekeeping staff were barely noticeable, yet everything was done perfectly. The bar and restaurant staff were discreet and helpful, as was the reception—complete professionalism. There were no unsolvable issues—in fact, there were no issues at all. Regarding meals, I believe everyone will find something to suit their taste. We certainly enjoyed ours. Since we traveled in September and planned to celebrate my 60th birthday there, I contacted the hotel for some assistance in making this stay memorable, and I must admit, they did everything to make me feel special. First of all, we were given a room near the pool and reception. It had an incredible balcony—actually, a terrace—with real grass growing on it. The view through the palm leaves onto the pool and main building was breathtaking, especially in the evening. I could sit at the table, feel the grass under my bare feet, and enjoy the wine I received from the management along with their best wishes. There were even more gifts, which was an incredibly kind gesture. The main reception hall deserves a separate story. Under the enormous glass dome hang terraces that serve as bridges leading to the lushly vegetated restaurant and the hall where evening performances take place. This space is essentially a grand orangery, with a river flowing through it and plants reaching into diners' plates as if asking if the food tastes good. A wonderful place where even a slice of bread and a glass of water would taste like a royal feast. Choosing an outdoor table is highly recommended to fully experience this magical atmosphere. The entire decor is in a local color scheme, which we found very appealing. The layout of pathways should not pose any difficulties, regardless of age or mobility. Apart from the characteristic dome, one more element captures attention alongside the refreshing fountain—a beautiful clock, counting down the time until our return to this wonderful place where I spent unforgettable moments with my wife. I hope we will return more than once.

Our second visit to this lovely hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite which are slightly away from the main room blocks, and the suites are in lovely botanical gardens. In fact the whole hotel complex is set in lovely botanical gardens. From the reception staff to the porters, activities team, to the waiters and restaurant and bar staff, to the housekeepers, we cannot fault their service. Everyone is extremely friendly. There are lots of activities at the hotel you can choose from - yoga, bowling, football, aquerobics, etc. all included in the room price. We were on a B&B basis, and if you're in a junior suite you have your breakfast in a smaller dining room, plentiful choice, everyone helpful, food replenished regularly, omelette chef. Wonderful. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the front/beach and loads of restaurants and bars. The hotel is also opposite a commercial centre with a number of good restaurants and bars. Superdino almost opposite too. We've booked to go again later in the year, and also after that. 3-4 visits says something.

Fantastic return visit

This was our 10th visit to this hotel, after first visiting in 2009. The hotel is still as fantastic as ever. The staff are friendly, they even remember us from previous visits and the smell when you walk into reception is still as nice now. The grounds of the hotel are still so lovely, the plants make you feel like you are in tropical gardens. The hotel is a little dated now but it’s part of the character and the rooms are quiet. We were lucky enough to be in the hotel for the 20th anniversary of the hotel which coincided with the Christmas light switch on which was a lovely thing to be a part of and seeing the decorations was really special. We try to book block 7 through paying upfront and choosing our rooms and these rooms are perfect because they get the late sun. We stay in a pool view room which should come with a dressing gown which we had to chase more than once to get, this is an easy fix. We did also sit around the pool a couple of days this time which was a lovely change from the beach, it’s still a quiet area even at the bottom pool. The towel exchange could do with either being open earlier or maybe open for a couple of hours later in the day as we are fairly early risers which meant we tended to be at the beach before it opened. The pools could also do with being a bit warmer. We stay half board so had breakfast and dinner. Some of the labels of the food were either wrong or didn’t exist at all. We also noticed that there seemed to be less desserts than on a previous visit. This was also the case for the salad, cheese and fruit choice but there was still plenty. We noticed another difference from our last visit was the lack of water for free at dinner which meant we had to pay. It was only a couple of euros but does soon add up. The service to get drinks too could also be a bit slow. The table wasn’t always laid up for 3 either which did take a while to sort each night. As like most buffets the food wasn’t always hot either. The food is still one of the best choices in a hotel that we have been to and the quality is still really good. I don’t want this to come across as just negative as we had a fantastic holiday, there were just a few things we noticed compared to previous visits which if they were improved it would almost be perfect! We will definitely return though because it is almost like a second home!

We have visited Mogan many times and usually opt to stay in the old town. This hotel is situated approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the centre. It's a big hotel that caters for all ages. Good rooms and quiet at night. There is a small shopping mall with bars and restaurants quiet close and very good food and drinks. We would stay here again.

This resort is the Gold Standard of how a family resort should be operated and it is mostly due to the staff. All departments have smiling and charming staff that clearly care for their guests; the reception, front-line cooks, waitors, receptionists, housekeeping, bartenders, breakfast staff is just adorable and the animation team too. The xmas buffets were excellent with a huge variety of foods of high quality and wine list has many reasonably priced wines. Family christmas

Came on the 14th dec-28th .... 2nd visit in 3 months,came with family for christmas, everything was amazing could not fault anything. Had 2 junior suites next to each other, had breakfast in the blue house, lots of choice, staff lovely, had dinner in the main restaurant again very good, little chaos on the busier evenings... Christmas day evening was given bottles of wine & water on the table free of charge. Rooms we're cleaned every morning and towels changed twice a day... couldn't ask for anymore ...made lots of happy memories.

I have been to Mogan several times over the years after discovering this Gem back in 1992 whilst staying at the nearby Puerto Rico but as a couple enjoying the excellent dining out facilities in Puerto de Mogan I have always been happy staying at the self catering facilities of Cordial Mogan Valle Apartments. This year I went with my daughters family including two grandsons 4 and 7 years and was amazed having never looked inside the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel of the facilities for families and the two boys loved it especially walking through the caves built into the resort on the way down to dinner in the evenings, the excellently run kids club and the children (and adults) entertainment in the evening especially The Lion King where the children could have their photos taken with the cast at the end of the performance. I was surprised at the size of the rooms which was always clean and tidy (thanks Estrella) and lunch in the Bistro (as we only went half board). Having never been to Mogan in August I was amazed it was not too hot (surprisingly as it is nearer the equator than European destinations (average 27 degrees) it was perfect for the whole family. Well done Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel - I was impressed.

Botanical paradise

Tiene una situación cómoda y sencilla, al lado estación de guaguas que te llevan al aeropuerto o cualquier punto de la isla. Todo limpio, atención del personal excelente, múltiples actividades gratuitas como yoga, aquagym, mindfullness que si vas solo no necesitas ni salir .Tienen spa y masajes de pago. Todo muy bien indicado. Espectáculo de noche. Creo sin duda que es el mejor hotel de toda Gran Canaria. Si quieres desconectar este es tu sitio. Acceso directo a la playa y hasta una capilla. Es como una urbanización.

Die Juniossuiten sind top. Man hat dort alles,was man braucht. Man wohnt inmitten einer Pflanzenwelt. Das Frühstück kann man in einem extra Gebäude in der Nähe der Suiten ennehmen. Our second visit to the lovely Cordial Mogan Playa which is without a doubt the best hotel we've ever stayed at! The staff are all fantastic and welcoming. We arrived on a late flight and were shown downstairs to the main dining area where there was a cold buffet prepared for guests arriving later in the evening. Breakfast was definitely one of the highlights and it would be impossible to describe the full selection of items offered every day, but having sampled quite a bit it was all fresh and delicious. The room was immaculate with loads of space, a huge bathroom and balcony overlooking the outdoor area of the spa facilities which was very peaceful. I also booked in a spa day for myself which was wonderful and there's lots of treatments available for very reasonable prices. On checking out the staff were once again lovely and asked us what time our transfer to the airport was due and told us that we were welcome to use the hotel facilities until we were picked up. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful location. The hotel grounds themselves are well maintained with lots of little gems like the cactus garden, an aviary for rescued birds and of course the archaeological site, 'Cañada de Los Gatos' which can be accessed from the hotel itself. P.S. There are also a few resident cats on the grounds cared for by the staff and there's a collection tin at the reception desk for any small donations towards their care :)

Wunderbar. Wir haben uns hier in einem sehr schönen, geräumigen und prima ausgestatteten Zimmer im 5. Stock mit Balkon und Poolblick ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Die fein zu regelnde und fast unhörbare Klimanlage ist perfekt. Trotz der Größe des Hotel kann man hier gut entspannen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lobby sehr groß, stilvoll und einladend. Die Einteilung zum Abendessen in zwei Zeitfenster mit einem fest zugeordnetem Tisch entspannt auch die Atmosphäre im sehr großen Speisesaal. Das Buffet zum Frühstück und zum Abendessen war in Vielfalt, Qualität, Menge, ... einfach super! Auch die Möglichkeit das Auto in der Tiefgarage des Hotesl zu parken ist sehr angenehm. Insgesamt ist das Cordial Mogan Playa sehr empfehlenswert!

Absolutely loved the hotel. A lot of thought and planning has gone into the layout and gardens. Beautiful. Although it can cater for about 1000 guests, it doesn't feel crowded as there is so much space. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Didn't use the tv. Everyone was helpful and friendly, nothing was too much. Food was delicious, an excellent variety. Would highly recommend. Best hotel I've ever stayed in.

We have stayed at this hotel fifteen times, that's how much we like it. This was the best time so far! (September 20th to 4th October). The suite 9005 and the garden were lovely. The weather was good. I would like to recommend Sandy and Maria who did the aqua which was so good I did it each day. It was a really good work out and a lot of fun. We love the botanical garden. The restaurants in the port are good, especially Sol y Luna and El Bek. We also loved the Restaurant Valle de Mogan in Mogan Village which has excellent food and lovely views. The hotel buffet was better this time. We also found the entertainment better this time. You would not be disappointed with Cordial Mogan Playa.

The most beautiful and comfortable resort i have ever been to. From the help of the staff with tbe luggages to the room, to the welcoming drink, the great breakfast and dinner, the pools, jacuzzis, kids club.. everything was absolutely amazing with no downsides. Besides the hotel is conveniently located next to a big Guaguas station, supermarkets, farmacies. Very convenient also if you have a car, the parking is large enough.

Die Hotelanlage ist wunderschön angelegt, sehr gepflegt und auch ein bisschen verspielt, so dass man nicht sofort alles überblicken kann und immer wieder eine neue schöne Ecke entdeckt. Wir wurden super freundlich mit einem Glas Sekt empfangen. Ein Parkhaus steht kostenlos zur Verfügung, was aufgrund der wenig vorhandenen PP in der Umgebung nicht zu verachten ist. In der Anlage befindet sich eine kleine Kirche/Kapelle und es gibt einen Zugang zu einer ""Höhlen-/Ausgrabungs-Sehenswürdigkeit"" vom Hotel aus. Eintritt ist hier kostenfrei. Die Zimmer sind sehr angenehm groß mit einem komfortablem Bad und Balkon. Die Betten sind bequem. Das Frühstück findet nicht nur in einem angenehmem Ambiente (am Wasserfall) statt, sondern wartet mit einer riesen Auswahl auf in guter Qualität. Wir reisen viel, deshalb können wir einschätzen, dass es nicht Standard und besonders hervorzuheben ist. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel und bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal. :-)

Anniversary Trip

We have just returned from the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel, Gran Canaria. We can't stop telling everyone of the wonderful holiday we had there. Our room was spacious, very clean, thank you to the room maids who do a great job. Our view over the wellness centre spa was very relaxing. The botanical theme of the whole hotel is amazing, with waterfalls and beautiful blossom, plants and palms. The layout of the gardens as you walk from room to restaurants, pools etc is very pleasant to enjoy. All the staff are so helpful and genuinely friendly. We enjoyed going to the restaurant where we we're made so welcome and had lots of laughs with the managers and staff there, it makes mealtimes a pleasurable experience. Unfortunately, on the end of our two weeks one of us had a stumble in the town resulting in a leg in plaster, making mobility restrictive, we had so much assistance from everyone at the hotel, they could not have done more. So many of the guests we spoke to had returned many times as they enjoyed it so much. It was our first visit and we were so glad we chose the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel to celebrate our special anniversary. Thank you so much for giving us both a very happy memorable anniversary.

A wonderful hotel

The hotel staff from arrival, during and departure were all marvelous, helpful and always had a smile. Rooms are large and very clean. It's the biggest room we've had. Also a large bathroom separated by a frosted glass door. Our terrace overlooked the pool. Super clean pools and jacuzzi (we witnessed regular testing of the water). Plenty of sunbeds even after 10am. We took dinner and breakfast outside on the covered terrace which was very pleasant complete with a waterfall. Huge selection of food for dinner and breakfast. Freshly grilled fish (for example salmon, prawns, tuna, sole), and meats (pork, beef, turkey). Salads, vegetables, a vegetarian corner, even sushi which our son loved. You'd have to be extremely fussy not to find something. Great selection of puddings from a chocolate fountain (milk chocolate some days, white others), sweets, marshmallows, tarts, ice creams, cakes, fruit. Amazing. So many palm trees and plants, little paths, bridges, waterfalls galore! Truly amazing. Coconut trees, and banana trees, chilli plants, and so many others that I've never seen before. Do check out the cacti garden. A serene area to have a few moments to yourself. Love it! A little chapel, a great spa, giant chess, games room, ping pong, tennis courts, ten pin bowling and trampolines. So much to do here. The kids club is also very well run. Evening entertainment was very good especially their rendition of The Lion King ""The Circle of Life"" that woved by adults and children. A brilliant hotel. We loved our stay, thank you!!

Es algo más que un hotel, es un conjunto de edificios rodeados por vegetación y con múltiples servicios que te permiten tener todas las necesidades cubiertas. El trato del personal excelente y las instalaciones inmejorables. He leído alguna crítica sobre que había bajado de calidad no puedo opinar sobre eso pues era la primera vez que iba, pero a mí me parece que inmejorable y espero volver.

This hotel is our go to holiday every year now. We take a ground floor junior suite with garden and enjoy the privacy it gives us. This also gives us breakfast in the blue building reserved for suite guests which is a quieter version of the Cordials excellent offering. We love the ambiance of the hotel and beautifully kept gardens. The evening entertainment has something for most people . We always enjoy the Three Tenors and this year must mention the Abba Girls and the Circle of life show. The evening meal has always something which appeals to us although when the hotel is busy long lines at hot food sections take away from overall enjoyment. Always like to mention Anna who serviced our to a very high standard. We found all staff to be friendly and attentive.

A beautiful 'village type' hotel in fantastic gardens and impressive location

Set in beautiful garden grounds this hotel is situated in an old river valley between substantial cliffs, it could not be better located for sheltered sunshine. It is a large hotel but gives the feeling of a village with different accommodation types. The entrance lobby is very impressive with rocks, water fall and foliage, it is really a wonderful place to sit at the lobby bar and listen to live soft music playing. Our room over the Tamanaqua restaurant was very spacious and comfortable with a large balcony equipped with sun loungers. It really was a sun trap all day, overlooking the well kept gardens. Breakfast was taken in the Tamanaqua, a peaceful location on the terrace or inside. Everything to offer for all tastes, the cold meats and cheese were very much my taste. Staff in the Tamanaqua are very pleasant and always greet and serve with professionalism and friendly manner. The evening main dining room offers two shifts which did give me cause for concern before arriving, however, it worked very well albeit giving an impression of a rushed meal. The staff are very efficient and seem to have their organisation to perfection. Not quite the same for the carvery serving area, I found it difficult to see what was on offer due to the waiting queues, this also causing a poor access to the accompanying vegetables alongside the carvery. The food offering was very good and popular dishes regularly replenished. We took the opportunity to take the hotel tour with Alex as guide. This is where the excellent hotel management can be seen in the back scenes f the hotel. The underground service corridors are well designed to allow access to all the grounds without interference with the hotel front of house and grounds. I do recommend this hotel tour as appreciation of the efficient hotel operations. Outside the hotel it is noticeable that there is no traffic, an excellent pedestrian tiled road that hosts the extensive street market on Fridays. The pedestrian precinct leads to Puerto Mogan and the marina just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. All in all it was a very pleasant holiday in a beautiful holiday in a lovely location with pleasant and efficient staff in all areas. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

I can’t give enough praise to all the staff at this fabulous hotel. I have been here many times and each time was welcomed back so warmly, it’s become like a second family to us. The hotel complex is meticulously kept with botanical trees, shrubs and plants throughout the grounds making a walk of these even more enjoyable. The rooms have a very good size, the bathrooms are equipped with towels, shower lotion/shampoo and soap so no need to bring these with you. Rooms are very clean, the chamber maids daily making beds and cleaning. The restaurant is inviting, well laid out with a lot of choices. Anyone with allergens, vegan or vegetarian diet needn’t worry. You have only to ask the staff. There are daily vegetarian dishes on offer, for a vegan choice, the chef can make these for you. There is a separate area for gluten free bread and biscuits in the morning plus toaster away from the regular section. The pool area is clean and spacious with a second large pool for families with children. Sun loungers are plenty with lounge mattresses provided. Clean pool towels everyday, these are available at the poolside. There is a wonderful poolside restaurant at the main pool with bar and a bar at the second pool. This hotel offers so much to the guests. There is a lovely spa at the hotel. Well worth a visit. It has a good choice of evening entertainment from groups, solo singers, acrobatic acts, dancers etc. Generally it is quiet hotel so if you want to relax, this is the place To the beach and harbour area it is a 10 minute walk. Directly in front of the hotel is a pedestrian zone where every Friday there is a large market leading down to the beach/harbour area. People with limited mobility won’t have a problem getting around. I know I will be returning to the hotel and look forward to my next visit.

Fabulous What can I say , this is definitely the best hotel we have ever stayed in it's absolutely beautiful ! I'll start with the grounds which are stunning the plants and flowers are amazing and are both inside and outside the hotel , the hotel itself is spotless a huge shout out to the cleaning team they work extremely hard to maintain such a high standard, the restaurants are beautiful, the staff look immaculate in their canarian uniforms and also work extremely hard , the choice of food is great always really fresh and plentiful, especially the desserts, the nightly shows are really good , there's 2 beautiful pools and always plenty of sunbeds with extra padded covers , the beds in the room are sooo comfortable, i hired a bike for 3 days from free motion which is in the hotel, the bikes are excellent and you can take them on the ferry boat for free . It's been such a relaxing , wonderful holiday, we will 100 % return to this amazing hotel .

Visited with my husband and 2 adult children so booked 2 rooms. The rooms were a great size, 4206 & 4208, with lovely views of the pool. We only used the pool nearest the reception (the quiet pool), which was beautiful. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols, and we never had a problem finding 4 together - whatever time of day we arrived. Loved the fact that the hotel provided towels too! My son used the spa a few times and had a wonderful time. We only had breakfast in the hotel, which was probably the best I've had in any hotel. The choice of food was amazing and everything we tried was delicious. Particularly loved the 2 robot waiters!! All of the staff throughout the hotel were lovely - always polite, cheery and very helpful. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, and the grounds stunning. Even after 7 days, I'm sure there were parts we still hadn't explored. We will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel and gardens

We had never been to Gran Canaria and I was a bit unsure as we don't really like purpose built resorts or large hotels but we wanted some guaranteed sunshine. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel or location. The hotel,although large, is designed in a way to appear like a village with beautiful tropical gardens. It was very peaceful and the noisy pool wasn't really noisy at all. It was spotlessly clean, lovely friendly staff, no sunbed wars, you could turn up at any time and find a bed. They have an archeological site in the grounds with free tours, wear sturdy shoes/trainers and a hat. Garden tours too. The evening entertainment can be a bit hit and miss but worth a look. Free showers for late check out. We did go half board but ate out a few times around the harbour. There is plenty of choice but the do have 2 sittings which for us were a bit too early then a bit late but you don't have to arrive spot on time. I would definitely return.

Our first visit to Gran Canaria and Mogan. This is certainly one of the best, if not the best, hotel we have stayed in – and we have stayed in a lot over the years. We arrived late (11.30 pm) too late for the evening meal, but there were bread rolls and fillings available, very welcome. We were surprised to be informed that we were to be upgraded to a Junior Suite (we had booked late, and only standard rooms were available) – it was amazing accommodation, including a terrace with sunbeds enclosed by a small garden. The ambiance of the hotel is second to none, the gardens and layout of the different room blocks and paths and walkways over the large site is very pleasing to the eye, great to just stroll around and take in the views. The hotel décor is certainly unique, very different to anything else we have seen. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the ‘cleaning ladies’ (who also regularly arrived with extra coffee and milk supplies) are to be commended, in fact the whole site was very clean and tidy. Food was good, we found breakfast (taken in the Blue House for us) to have plenty of choice and to be of good quality. The evening meals were good, with plenty of choice, but the choices were not always labelled, and it could be hard to see what was on offer which meant a bit of a ‘bun fight’ to get close enough to choose. Look out for Lola the robot who helps clear away the dirty dishes! No problem getting a sunbed, and they were very comfortable. Location of hotel is perfect, a 10 minute easy stroll into the main area with shops and picturesque streets, Marina, etc. Mogan itself is a compact, quiet resort, idea for those of us who don’t want ‘lively’. Will certainly put this hotel on our list of places to return to.

Todo en general muy bien. El complejo es enorme y da para mucho, si quieres, puedes no salir de allí mismo. Las instalaciones están genial: piscinas tranquilas, gimnasio pequeñito pero completo, zonas de ocio y bares y restaurantes para tomar algo o picar algo (a parte del buffet) muy bien. Fabulous hotel! Our room was spacious and very clean and we liked the way the hotel was separated into smaller blocks often centred around courtyards with plants and flowers and all set in stunning botanical gardens. Food at breakfast and dinner was very good with plenty of choice and plenty of freshly cooked options. Would recommend the hotel tours by Alex who shared his wonderful knowledge of the archaeological site and the botanical gardens as well as the running of the hotel which proved to be really fascinating! We enjoyed the entertainment most nights and particularly the Circle of Life show which was fantastic! We found all staff to be friendly and helpful and the general atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed. There were a couple of occasions at meal times when there seemed to be a shortage of staff which led to slower service and queues. However this was not the case for the majority of our stay . Puerto Mogan itself is less than a 10min walk away and is such a pretty place with plenty of nice places to eat and drink and a beautiful harbour. Would highly recommend this hotel and it's location and definitely hope to return in the future!

Stunning hotel, beautiful grounds, sumptuous interior....on par with Las Vegas 6* hotels..just breathtaking. Superior room was perfect in block 7, large terrace with padded sunloungers and patio table &chairs.....lots of sun BUT not enough air/breeze as its quite enclosed. Beds and bedding soooo comfortable, lots of storage & space to move around. Bathroom beautiful with bath and overbath shower ....temperature fluctuated a little. Separate toilet too. Cleaned daily including floors ....fabulous service. Food delicious & plenty of it, but a wee bit samey after a week, though I still gained 10lb!!!! We ate out 3 nights around the marina and 7 nights in the hotel....I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return but hopefully stay in the solaz apartment with a bigger terrace and whirlpool ....thank you cordial staff you are all amazing x

Amazing! We are having the most wonderful time at this hotel! Very clean and super friendly staff who all work very hard. The gardens and scenery are breathtakingly beautiful and very well looked after. Breakfast can be busy the later you go so I recommend getting there early. We stay around the quieter pool which is wonderful. All the food we have had is delicious and there is lots of variety. The area has shops including pharmacy and supermarket directly opposite the hotel, so very convenient. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk away along with more shops and lots of restaurants and bars. The games room could do with a few more games for the kids though especially in the evenings as the games room closes at 9pm. We would definitely return and recommend to everyone 5* from us!

Wir waren jetzt schon das zweite mal im Cordial Playa und wir werden auch wieder hier Urlaub machen! Die Anlage ist sehr schön aufgeteilt , man kommt sich vor wie in einem Park, einfach genial. Después de más de 10 años viniendo al Cordial Mogan Playa, ni mi familia ni yo nos planteamos cambiar de lugar de vacaciones. Gracias al maravilloso equipo que tenéis pasamos unos días muy felices que nos ayudan a desconectar, divertirnos y disfrutar de un clima único en España. Vivir dentro de un jardín botánico lleno de multitud de especies de los lugares mas reconditos del mundo lo hace realmente un hotel precioso y especial.Quiero citar a gran parte de su equipo como responsables de todo esto: Gracias a José Santana su Director, que lo hace todo muy fácil cuidando cada uno de los detalles, a Adriana que se encarga de que nuestra habitación esté siempre lista con gran cariño y atenciones, a Juani que el alma de la casa azul, consiguiendo que los desayunos y los almuerzos sean siempre 10. Cuando ella no está Saulo la sustituye con gran profesionalidad. No me puedo olvidar de Juan, Vanesa, Cori, Jonathan y resto de compañeros que nos hacen la comida con cariño para que todo este en su punto. Disfrutamos cada noche en el restaurante principal atendidos por un gran equipo. Mi especial atención es para Vanesa, coordinando que todos en sus mesas tengan una gran experiencia, siempre con su sonrisa y buen humor, Alexis y Kevin con gran amabilidad y empatia cuidan de que todo el mundo se sienta agusto y bien atendido, Gian Franco, Emilia, Echedey y un montón de personas más que nos ayudan cada noche. Quiero hacer una mención especial a su gran equipo de Animación. A Maria su directora y a Abbey, que logran organizar todas las actividades para el disfrute de los más pequeños durante el día y de los mayores por la noche. Con su espectáculo estrella del Rey León, nos hace pasar las noches muy divertidas cerrando el día con entretenimiento y alegría. Este ratito lo ameniza un gran equipo de waiters entre los que queremos reseñar especialmente el servicio de Silvester. Por último quiero agradecer a Andrés el socorrista estar siempre pendiente de que la piscina sea un espacio de diversión para todos, con gran empatía y Siempre alerta a cualquier contratiempo o emergencia. I stayed with my daughter and grandsons, 4 and 15 months. The surroundings of the hotel were mesmerising for little ones...so many small pools, waterfalls they could look at. The pools were great including childrens pool abd the food great with similar each night but a variety of salads, freshly cooked meat and fish. We had a junior suite on the ground floor with a small garden...perfect for a newly walking toddler. It was quiet by our room but busy elsewhere. We never felt overcrowded though and a wonderful time was had by all.

The property is pretty big with a lot of guests but you don't really feel that. There are two large swimming pools - one silent, the other one for families with kids, aquagym, music, etc. Lots of things to do on site. The variety of plants makes you feel like in botanic garden. The food was good, big variety, everyone could choose something for themselves. Additionally, there is a very nice diving school/shop located on site.

Great hotel to stay at to visit Mogan, there is only a short walk to the city and you can walk most of the way through the hotel gardens, as there is an exit for guests at the end. There is a quite pool area and a family pool area, both very similar in size and look. Breakfast buffet has a great variety, at busy times, staff will help to find a free table. Best thing about this hotel is the botanical garden, which is all over the area, every time you walk outside, you notice something new. The cats that walk around the hotel area are very friendly and well taken care of. Staff are very friendly, cleaning of the room every day was very good.

The hotel is incredibly well designed and I was blown away by how clean and well kept it is. I fell in love with the gardens and plants, made it feel like a tropical getaway and the pool was exceptional. The staff were so warm and welcoming; special mention of Kevin who seemed to be everywhere and do everything, always with a smile! We were also very impressed with the food, especially the breakfast, such a great and varied choice!

The location of this hotel was perfect for us, just 5 mins up from the harbour and across from the Plaza Mogan shopping centre which houses some lovely bars,shops & restaurants . The hotel grounds are absolutely immaculate ,we were at the far end near the noisy pool in a superior room with a large balcony. We opted for lunch option for half board, and breakfast & lunch was served in the buffet restaurant just below our room in block 8 We used the evening option once but found i found it a little hectic as there are two sittings so everyone is piling in at once on either sitting We only see the entertainment on one night but it was really good & the singer was brilliant, she covered the Swedish Eurovision winner Loreens song Tatoo and nailed it The pool we would always prefer was the quieter pool near reception where inflatables are not permitted ,it would still get a bit noisy at times but that may just be me being a bit fussy The staff at this hotel are doing a really good job & a massive shout to the gardeners who do a wonderful job of the grounds, which made our walks from our room to the pool so pleasant Well worth a visit to the ruins and the further walk up to the mirador bar which offers fantastic views of the hotel & harbour area Also the cactus garden is truly fascinating In some point in my life I would definitely like to return to this hotel for another week it was the perfect place to raise a glass for our 30th anniversary ❤️

Los desayunos en la casita azul eran maravillosos. Tienes acceso a ellos si contratas una suite. El personal es muy amable y trabajan muchísimo para que todo esté bien y la estancia sea estupenda. Las habitaciones son grandes y las camas cómodas. Instalaciones muy limpias y variadas: varias piscinas, juegos, bolera, spa, ajedrez gigante, pistas de tenis... El jardín es precioso. Las cenas están muy bien organizadas, te asignan una mesa para toda la estancia. ¡Una gran idea para evitar aglomeraciones!

This was our fifth visit. Our previous stay was before covid and since then the small white stones around the pools have been replaced with tiles, and the dining area has had a makeover. All good in my opinion. The food has improved. The grounds and plantings are still immaculate and are one of the main reasons why we choose the Cordial over other hotel further up the road. All the staff work very hard to make the hotel perfect for their guests. The Inagua spa is always worth a visit. If you want a relaxing sunshine and pool holiday, the Cordial Mogan Playa is hard to beat.

We came on a family holiday and the hotel offered good entertainment for my nine year old granddaughter. The pool party was great - for us adults too. In fact, I really liked the pools - beautifully designed and surrounded by palm trees. There is a quiet pool and a pool where children can play - they are about a five minute walk from each . The hotel has great charm. As you walk into reception, there is a feeling of grandeur, peace and calm. The welcome drink from the friendly reception staff is a great plus after a long journey. The rooms are large and airy. We had a room overlooking the pool, which was beautiful to wake up to. The rooms may be a bit dated but are in keeping with the charm and style of the hotel. They are kept spotlessly clean as is the hotel in general. The dining room is well run. The staff were accommodating, and we were seated quickly every day. There is seating outside where you can sit and eat to the sound of a stream and waterfall. The staff were efficient and friendly. Tables were laid out beautifully. The choice of food at breakfast and dinner was great. Some of the food was cooked in front of you. The selection at the buffet was great. Something for everyone. Very well presented, too. The entertainment in the evening was great. There are tribute acts and shows every night. The Lion King show was particularly good for my granddaughter. All in all , we had the most relaxing time at the hotel. It exceeded my expectations. There was something for all of us.

Best Relaxing Luxury Holiday in a Relaxed & Beautiful Little Town

I had an unforgettable experience and glad I have chosen to stay with Cordial Mogan Playa. Location is perfect, situated in the little relaxed town of Puerto de Mogan, with beautiful views, vibrant shops & restaurants by the beach. The Resort is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed in, with a great emphasis on nature and scenery. Lush palm trees, hundreds of different species of plants, you can even tour the whole resort and see so much! Rooms are definitely larger than average size, and I stayed on a standard room! They also have the most dramatic and nature friendly reception / bar area, that looks like a giant aviary / sanctuary. They give you welcome drinks on arrival free, and if you have a late check-in, there is complimentary snack bar sandwiches cakes, etc. The pool area is wide and there are 2 main pools you can choose from but my favourite is the big pool area with the shore and mini fountain & river that connects and flows water to the pool. Plenty of sunbeds with nice waterproof cushions, and they provide free beach towels fresh! A wide selection of food from breakfast & dinner serving from meat, fish, caviar, all the way to traditional pizzas, pastas, salad bars, anything you could think of, you name it. Stayed for a week and dinner menu wasn't the same every night, so guaranteed there is always something new every evening. In regards to transport, It was so easy as the main bus station is literally 5 mins walk from the hotel and you are connected all over the island through bus 1 - Las Palmas, 32 - Maspalomas (Playa del Ingles) & (Faro de Maspalomas in Melonares) or 70 - To Maspalomas and then Aqualand, and Palmitos Park. There is also 2 Ferry rides you can get every half hour from the Mogan Marina; Salmon Line, and Blue Bird Ferry and you can go to Puerto Rico, and other small towns along the coast that way as well as the bus. Overall a great choice and value for money!

Loved this hotel. Fabulous location, the best, comfortable room which was spacious with a separate toilet and shower/ bathroom and a terrace furnished with a table and two chairs. The hotel grounds have to be seen to be appreciated. Lots of walkways and stunning planting of local plants. Absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is amazing with fountains, waterfalls and rocky caves in reception. This hotel is very typically Spanish with bags of character! Loved it. Staff were brilliant, helpful, polite. I loved the ‘quiet pool’ in the afternoons. Breakfast buffet contained everything you could possibly want and staff cleared up and reset tables promptly. Courtesy rooms and showers were very welcome as we had a late flight. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Was sad to leave but cannot wait to go back.

Amazing hotel

We have just returned from an 8-night stay at this hotel and it was absolutely amazing. We arrived late in the evening, just 15 min before the restaurant was about to close. The lady at the reception (Rachel) was very polite, professional and helpful. She informed us that we could still go and have our dinner in the restaurant which was very much appreciated after a whole day travelling. I asked in advance for a quiet room on a high floor and we were given an amazing room in block 4 on the 4th floor. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, quiet and with a beautiful view of the adults pool. The ladies cleaning the rooms did a fantastic job and they were always polite and with a smile on their faces. The reception area and the hotel grounds including the pool area were impressive and beautifully surrounded by palm trees and other plants. We booked half board and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of food we had at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is conveniently located within 10 min walk from the beautiful marina and the beach. Overall, this is a luxurious hotel which felt more like a 5-star. All hotel facilities and the customer service were exceptional.

I have stayed in a lot hotels but this is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Great breakfast. Staff very friendly. Very clean with towels and sheets replaced daily. Lovely location. Complimentary drinks on arrival. Last morning had to get taxi to airport at 6 O Clock Was too early for breakfast and was given a basket of food for the journey. 10 out of 10 for me. And I am fussy.

Wonderful hotel. The grounds are something very special. We requested two junior suites on the ground floor with garden areas and that is exactly what we got. The rooms were very lovely and spacious with everything you could possibly want. They were also very clean with staff coming morning and evening to replenish towels,coffee etc. All the staff we encountered were so friendly, helpful and polite. The food was always very good with so much choice and I thought the 2 dinner sittings were a good idea. We chose the 8.30pm sitting and it never felt too busy. As we were in the junior suites we had breakfast in the blue building which was very relaxing. The pools were lovely, we preferred the quieter pool and always got sunbeds. Loved everything about this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return. Puerto Mogan itself is pretty but very quiet at night with most bars quite empty. There was also a lot of roadworks going on in the resort with a lot of drilling which wasn't very relaxing to be around.I will definitely be booking to stay at this hotel and highly recommend it.

Hotel muy recomendable para descansar y relajarte. Cerca de la playa y con una zona de piscinas amplia y en muy buen estado. Las habitaciones son amplias, muy cuidadas y limpias. Incredible food at breakfast and dinner. Beautiful setting. Perfectly clean throughout and very accommodating staff. The local town is gorgeous if you fancy a change of scenery. We often took an early morning walk before settling into the hotels pools for the rest of the day, there are also some very good bars opposite the hotel in the shopping centre for the evening. Our room was huge (Mountain View double), very comfortable and had everything we could need. This was our second visit and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
