beCordial Hotels & Resorts has added a new establishment to its large family in the south of Gran Canaria: the Cordial Magec Taurito, 61 modern one-bedroom apartments, with kitchen, spacious living room with sofa bed and large terraces/balconies from which to sunbathe (Magec in aboriginal) as well as a wonderful swimming pool surrounded by a large solarium with sunbeds and parasols.
The Gran Canarian hotel chain wanted to give a nod to the islands by recovering a word of pre-Hispanic origin for the name of its new establishment. "Magec was the pre-Hispanic name given to the sun by the aboriginal populations of the islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife and this is what our guests will find in Apartamentos Cordial Magec Taurito, a temple of the sun thanks to the unique climate of Mogán all year round", emphasised the general manager of the hotel chain, Nicolás Villalobos.
