The municipality of Mogán was chosen as the setting for the new episode of Canal Cocina’s programme De Puerto en Puerto, a television series that travels through Spain’s ports and coastlines, discovering their gastronomic culture and the people behind local products.
During their visit to the south of Gran Canaria, the team stayed at Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa, where part of the filming took place – focusing especially on the Michelin-starred restaurant Los Guayres, led by chef Ruymán González. There, they explored his culinary proposal, inspired by traditional Canarian recipes and local produce.
During the shoot, there was also a meeting between the Mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, the captain of the programme’s featured sailing boat, Arturo Miranda Rodríguez, and chef Ruymán González, who shared their views on the importance of gastronomy as a symbol of identity, sustainability and destination promotion.
The De Puerto en Puerto team also visited Perchel Beach Club, where Borja Conde, Executive Chef of Resort Cordial Santa Águeda & Perchel Beach Club, prepared a rice dish featuring Canarian ingredients and fresh Atlantic fish, showcasing the culinary richness of the Archipelago and the deep connection between the sea and southern Gran Canaria’s cuisine.
“It is a great honour that Canal Cocina chose our venues to showcase the value of Canarian cuisine and the professionals who make it possible. At Cordial Hotels & Resorts, we strongly believe in our land, in its producers and in the potential of gastronomy as a cultural and touristic driving force for the Archipelago,” said Nicolás Villalobos, Managing Director of Cordial Hotels & Resorts.
This collaboration reinforces the brand’s commitment to promoting local products and culinary excellence – both fundamental pillars of its philosophy. The programme is scheduled to air in the coming months on Canal Cocina, bringing national audiences the essence and most authentic flavours of Gran Canaria.
