The first edition of the International Women’s Football Tournament beCordial-Mogán has been successfully completed.
- The friendly tournament in which Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Celtic Football Club have participated, sponsored by beCordial Hotels & Resort and two teams from Gran Canaria, CD Femarguín and Unión Viera was played the 21st and 22nd of January at the Arguineguin football ground.
- The Bayer 04 Leverkusen team won 1st place while CD Femarguín team achieved 2nd place in a very very close match. Celtic Football Club and Unión Viera took third and fourth place respectively.
The first edition of the International Women’s Football Tournament beCordial-Mogán has been successfully completed. This was the first international women’s football tournament sponsored by the Gran Canarian chain beCordial Hotels & Resort with the support of the Tourist Board of Gran Canaria and the City Council of Mogan.
In this friendly tournament two international teams which are sponsored by beCordial Hotels & Resorts participated and 2 Gran Canarian teams, CD Femarguín and Unión Viera. The final round was played by CD Femarguín and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who finally won.

Not least, because the expectation of having these two international teams on the field reigned between the people both days.
“With this International Women’s Football Tournament beCordial-Mogan, we wanted to contribute to the development of female sport not only in an international way sponsoring Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Celtic Football Club, but also in a local way. For the CD Femarguín and Unión Viera players this has been a very important challenge, they have played against these two international teams and we cannot be more proud of the result”, said Nicolas Villalobos.
The Gran Canarian chain has committed itself to feminine sport within its Corporate Social Responsibility. With these sponsorships and the first edition of the tournament beCordial Hotels & Resort will continue contributing to the developement of the island and giving visibility to Mogan, the place in which it operates a big part of its activity, in two important markets for Gran Canaria, such as the German and British.
